About the role

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Viant is seeking a hands-on Product Marketing Manager to build and own the foundational commercial content system that supports our Sales organization.

This person will create and manage the pitches, playbooks, solution briefs, product guides, proof points, and reusable solution modules that help sellers communicate Viant’s value and win business. They will bring strong ad tech fluency, narrative judgment, content skills, and stakeholder management to translate complex capabilities into clear, compelling customer stories.

The role will partner closely with Sales, Sales Strategy, Product Marketing, Product, Design, and subject-matter experts. It is an execution-oriented role with meaningful ownership: the person will personally research, synthesize, write, edit, and build content while establishing the systems that keep it accurate, accessible, and useful. They should also be comfortable using AI tools and agentic workflows to improve research and content-development processes.

THE DAY-TO-DAY

  • Build and maintain Viant’s core commercial content portfolio, including the Viant Narrative, Agency and Vertical Pitches, sales plays, solution briefs, product guides, FAQs, proof-point libraries, and customer-facing presentations.
  • Synthesize inputs from Product, Product Marketing, Sales, customers, and subject-matter experts into clear narratives organized around customer problems, business outcomes, and relevant Viant capabilities.
  • Translate Viant’s capabilities across CTV, identity, audience solutions, media planning, media buying, measurement, AI, creative, and omnichannel activation into practical, customer-ready content.
  • Partner with Sales and Sales Strategy to understand field needs, prioritize high-impact work, and turn recurring requests into scalable content and repeatable commercial plays.
  • Own the commercial content system, including Highspot organization, tagging, publishing, searchability, version control, usage, and archiving.
  • Use customer interviews, Gong insights, win/loss feedback, and AI-assisted workflows to improve messaging, content quality, and the effectiveness of sales materials.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Sales has confidence in the quality, accuracy, relevance, and accessibility of Viant’s core materials.
  • Complex product capabilities are consistently translated into clear, differentiated commercial narratives.
  • Common field needs are addressed through reusable content and repeatable plays rather than one-off requests.
  • Highspot serves as a trusted source of truth with less duplication and stronger adoption.
  • Customer and seller insights regularly improve pitches, messaging, objection handling, and solution stories.

GREAT TO HAVE

  • 4–7 years of experience in product marketing, sales enablement, content management, solutions marketing, sales strategy, client strategy, or a related account-facing role.
  • Meaningful experience in ad tech, programmatic advertising, digital media, a DSP, SSP, agency media, publisher technology, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex product, market, customer, and stakeholder inputs into a clear, compelling commercial narrative.
  • Proven experience personally creating sales-facing materials, including pitches, playbooks, solution briefs, product guides, presentations, messaging frameworks, or RFP content.
  • Strong understanding of how media is planned, bought, optimized, and measured.
  • Excellent writing, editing, presentation, organizational, and project-management skills.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to work effectively with Sales, Product Marketing, Product, Design, and subject-matter experts.
  • Experience with Highspot or a similar content platform is preferred.
  • Expertise in CTV, identity, media planning, media measurement, attribution, or omnichannel activation is a plus.
  • Curiosity and comfort using generative AI tools to improve research, synthesis, writing, and content-development workflows.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
