At Bandwidth, we shape how the world connects. We're the global communications software company and Tier 1 network operator with global reach. The voice, messaging, and emergency services infrastructure behind the brands and apps you use every day.

Because we own the network we build on, the problems you'll solve here are bigger, more complex, and more impactful. And as communications shifts to AI, we're the infrastructure layer making it possible.

We call ourselves BANDmates because building something this big takes collaboration, different perspectives, and the freedom to bring your authentic self to the table.

We're experts who speak like humans. Ready to build what's next? #JoinTheBand

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. NetSuite Developer to serve as the principal architect and technical authority for NetSuite and the integrations, automations, and AI solutions that interact with NetSuite. In this senior technical role, you will define the technical vision for NetSuite and its surrounding application landscape, establish architecture and engineering standards, pioneer transformative AI solutions, create governance frameworks aligned with financial controls, and serve as a key technical advisor to leadership.

What You'll Do

  • Define NetSuite technical vision: Establish the strategic direction and technical vision for NetSuite customization, integration, automation, and AI, using SuiteScript, Python, no/low-code solutions, and LLMs, aligning solutions across the entire organization, directly shaping enterprise business transformation.
  • Create cross-platform architecture: Design sophisticated, scalable architectures for business processes that start or end in NetSuite, connecting it with surrounding applications (e.g., Workday, Snowflake, Custom Applications), and establish patterns for SuiteScript 2.x, SDF, RESTlets, NetSuite REST/SOAP web services, SuiteQL, generative AI, low-code/no-code, and developer platform implementations.
  • Pioneer integration strategy: Develop integration strategies, governance models, and reference architectures, including standards for error handling, monitoring, and reconciliation, ensuring accurate, auditable data flow between NetSuite and connected systems.
  • Lead AI innovation: Spearhead the exploration, evaluation, and strategic implementation of AI capabilities (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Flowise, LangChain) for NetSuite-centered processes, with appropriate data-protection controls. Stay up to date on new LLMs.
  • Establish engineering principles: Define standards for software engineering, architectural design, development practices, and technical governance across NetSuite and automation initiatives, including code review and the sandbox-to-production deployment process. Use GitHub for version control.
  • Define quality strategy: Design quality frameworks, metrics, and continuous improvement methodologies, including regression and user acceptance testing with business stakeholders and validation against NetSuite release cycles, to ensure solution excellence at scale.
  • Set data architecture patterns: Set reference architecture for extracting, modeling, and governing NetSuite data in the enterprise data warehouse on Snowflake, including security zones and data-product catalogues.
  • Drive technological transformation: Lead strategic research into emerging technologies, including new LLMs and NetSuite platform capabilities, creating roadmaps for technology adoption that generate business value and innovation.
  • Create governance and change control: Establish governance frameworks covering documentation, knowledge management, and change control, maintaining alignment with internal financial controls (SOX compliance), including NetSuite role design and segregation of duties.
  • Architect security: Design and implement security and compliance architectures for NetSuite and connected automation solutions, including token-based and OAuth 2.0 authentication for integrations, ensuring regulatory adherence and comprehensive data protection.

What You Need

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred, in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent senior-level technical experience.
  • Experience:
  • 8+ years in software engineering or automation, including 5+ years developing on NetSuite, with demonstrated technical leadership.
  • Recognized expertise architecting low-code/no-code and AI-driven solutions.
  • Extensive experience leading technical initiatives and transformational change across multiple teams, with a track record of delivering high-impact solutions.
  • Working understanding of NetSuite financial and HR data flows (general ledger, subledgers, period close, employee records) to partner with Finance and People Services.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Expert SuiteScript 2.x (User Event, Map/Reduce, Scheduled, Suitelet, RESTlet), SuiteFlow, SuiteQL, and SDF.
  • Mastery of JavaScript, Python, and enterprise integration architectures (REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth 2.0, event-driven and batch patterns).
  • Authoritative knowledge of generative AI and LLMs and their enterprise applications.
  • Expertise in analytics engineering and data modeling with Snowflake/database technologies.
  • Expert knowledge of Terraform, HashiCorp Vault, and GitHub.
  • Expertise in system architecture.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Visionary thinker who aligns technology innovation with business strategy and growth.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving on complex, organization-wide technical challenges.
  • Strong communicator who influences senior leadership and strategic partners.
  • Technical leader who builds a culture of excellence and innovation, and develops technical talent.
  • Manages multiple initiatives while maintaining a cohesive technology vision.
  • Governance champion; sets standards in architecture, engineering, security, and solution design.
  • Passionate about driving digital transformation through AI and intelligent automation.
