  • Drive adoption of AI across DevOps to improve productivity, delivery, infrastructure management, troubleshooting, and operational efficiency
  • Identify and implement opportunities to use AI and intelligent automation with measurable improvements in speed, quality, or efficiency
  • Provide technical leadership across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, deployment automation, observability, and production operations
  • Ensure AccuWeather’s platforms and services are highly available, scalable, secure, maintainable, and recoverable
  • Continuously improve the SDLC by reducing manual processes, improving deployment safety, and enabling greater developer self-service
  • Establish and evolve standards and best practices for cloud infrastructure, configuration management, containers, automation, and operational tooling
  • Improve monitoring, logging, alerting, application performance visibility, and overall observability across supported platforms
  • Lead and improve incident response, root cause analysis, post-incident reviews, disaster recovery, and operational readiness practices
  • Partner internally to identify and address technical debt, reliability risks, scalability constraints, and operational efficiencies
  • Manage cloud and infrastructure capacity, utilization, and cost; identify opportunities to optimize technology spend without compromising reliability or performance
  • Incorporate security and compliance requirements into infrastructure, deployment, access, secrets management, and operational practices
  • Build strong partnerships across AccuWeather and help drive shared ownership

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, site reliability, software engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience managing and developing technical employees
  • Strong technical understanding of modern cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS and CDN’s such as Akamai or Cloudflare
  • Strong technical understanding of CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, automation, networking, containers, observability, and production operations
  • Experience supporting highly available web, mobile, API, data, or other large-scale platforms
  • Experience with incident management, monitoring and alerting, root-cause-analysis, disaster recovery, and production reliability practices
  • Demonstrated ability to balance reliability, delivery speed, security, technical debt, and infrastructure cost when making decisions
  • Experience managing cloud or infrastructure spend and identifying cost-optimization opportunities
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical risks, options, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong collaboration skills and demonstrated ability to lead initiatives across teams
  • Self-driven, adaptable, accountable, and committed to continuous improvement
