We’re reimagining the minerals supply chain by combining deep industry expertise with advanced software, automation, and data-driven decision-making.

Sr. Construction Project Manager

Role Overview

As a Sr. Construction Project Manager, you will play a central role in managing new facility construction, capacity expansions, and major infrastructure projects. You'll oversee contractors and project teams, manage budgets and timelines, and lead both in-field and office-based initiatives to deliver strategic capital projects. Your expertise will be vital to scaling operations safely, efficiently, and on budget.

What You'll Do

Project Ownership & Delivery

  • Take end-to-end ownership of assigned construction projects, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and identifying cost efficiencies.
  • Direct project delivery from scope development and contractor procurement to construction, commissioning, and project close-out.
  • Lead project startup activities including forecasting, budgeting, and job cost tracking.
  • Manage major purchase orders with thorough pricing and scope reviews.
  • Ensure project compliance with Mariana Minerals standards and company policies.

Procurement & Commercial Management

  • Evaluate bids, manage procurement, and negotiate for optimal project outcomes.
  • Review plans and technical diagrams to verify all required material and hardware are accounted for.
  • Handle change orders and claims, seeking favorable commercial resolution.
  • Prepare regular project reports on cost, schedule, risks, and overall quality.

Contractor & Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain open communication with cross-functional teams (QC, QA, commissioning, facilities, operations).
  • Oversee contractor performance to ensure achievement of KPIs and deliverables.
  • Liaise with regulatory, permitting, and community stakeholders as needed.

Systems & Automation

  • Collaborate with software engineering to advance project management tools and support ongoing automation.
  • Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of growth and efficiency.

Health, Safety & Environment

  • Lead a "zero-harm" safety culture, conducting regular safety reviews and toolbox talks.
  • Ensure alignment with all HSE plans and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and manage environmental controls (dust, water, waste) during construction.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years in construction project management in industrial/mining/processing plants.
  • Demonstrated success delivering capital projects of $20M+ on schedule and within budget.
  • Skilled in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Office Suite, accounting, and estimating tools.
  • Proficient at reading and interpreting contracts, engineering documentation, and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, industry codes, procurement, electrical fundamentals, and accounting.
  • Excellent communication, judgment, and decision-making abilities in dynamic environments.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to project sites or offices.
  • Experience with EPC/EPCM delivery models highly desirable.
