  • Promote the rights, safety, and overall physical, emotional, and social welfare of children and young people in care.
  • Support young people with education, training, healthcare appointments, and personal development while liaising with families and external agencies.
  • Attend and contribute to care planning, case management, strategy, and other professional meetings, preparing reports and maintaining high-quality records.
  • Provide day-to-day care and support, including age-appropriate activities, positive engagement, and physical intervention where required and in line with policy.
  • Support household management, including meal preparation, budgeting, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Complete accurate written and verbal reports, including progress updates and incident reporting, ensuring effective communication with the Centre Manager.
  • Supervise Social Care Workers, Residential Care Workers, and students where required, providing guidance and support.
  • Take responsibility for decision-making while on shift, including overall responsibility for the residential centre in the absence of senior management, and provide Deputy Manager cover when required.
  • Maintain compliance with legislation, childcare best practice, organisational policies, emergency procedures, and professional development requirements, including participation in the centre's on-call rota.

What We're Looking For

  • QQI Level 7 qualification in Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in Children's Residential Centres.
  • Full, clean driver's licence valid in Ireland.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Standards for Children's Residential Centres and Children First guidelines.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.

What's on Offer

  • Competitive salary of €44,000 - €52,000 per annum
  • Annual 3% salary increase
  • Comprehensive training and development opportunities
  • Enhanced pension scheme with contributions above standard pension provisions
  • Supportive and collaborative working environment
  • Career progression opportunities within a growing organisation
