About the role

We're looking for a Recruiter to become our first Talent Acquisition team member based in Ukraine. In this role, you'll partner with our global Talent Acquisition team and hiring leaders to hire exceptional talent across technical and non-technical roles while ensuring a seamless candidate experience. You’ll play a key role in hiring and growing our teams across Kyiv and Lviv.

From generating strong talent pipelines to maintaining a successful offer acceptance rate, you'll manage the entire candidate journey. By developing a strong understanding of our teams’ hiring needs and search requirements, you'll effectively match candidates with the roles in which they will be most successful.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for technical and non-technical roles.
  • Source candidates outside standard channels such as LinkedIn, using local job boards, Ukrainian veteran networks, industry communities, referrals, events, and your own professional network.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and develop recruiting strategies.
  • Partner collaboratively with our PX Partners to ensure alignment on hiring needs, internal mobility processes, performance considerations, and to uphold strong, consistent hiring practices across the organization
  • Source, engage, and screen high-quality talent using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools.
  • Develop creative sourcing strategies beyond traditional channels, leveraging job boards, veteran networks, professional communities, referrals, and your own network to identify hard-to-reach talent.
  • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for current and future hiring.
  • Guide candidates through the interview process from initial outreach through offer acceptance.
  • Provide hiring managers with market insights, pipeline updates, and hiring recommendations.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience while representing Shield AI's mission and values.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 - 6 years of experience in a technical recruiting role.
  • Experience sourcing candidates outside standard channels such as LinkedIn
  • Experience recruiting within the defence, aerospace, autonomy, or advanced technology sectors
  • Strong sourcing skills using LinkedIn Recruiter and other recruiting platforms.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS); Ashby experience is a plus.
  • Fluent Ukrainian and English speaker
  • Experience sourcing engineering talent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting hiring in partnership with global teams
  • Passion for process improvement and delivering an outstanding candidate experience.
