Driven by a purpose of powering futures and creating enduring legacies through a commitment to collaboration, BMD is delivering infrastructure solutions that connect and transform communities. With a proud history beginning in 1979, BMD now employs 2,400 people throughout Australia, the Philippines and United Kingdom.

About the Role

BMD is seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor to support the delivery of major civil infrastructure projects across Sydney.

Working predominantly across the Western Sydney corridor, you will take a lead role in planning survey activities, maintaining survey control, managing construction data and ensuring surveying works meet project quality, safety and compliance requirements.

This is a practical, project-based role for a construction surveyor who can combine strong technical capability with field leadership and effective coordination across engineering and construction teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and coordinate survey activities to support the construction program
  • Lead surveyors and field teams, ensuring safe and accurate delivery
  • Maintain survey control and manage construction models, data and records
  • Review set-out, as-builts and design geometry, identifying issues early
  • Ensure survey works meet project QA, WHS and compliance requirements
  • Work closely with engineering and construction teams to resolve field issues and prioritise works

About You

You will bring:

  • Strong construction surveying experience on civil infrastructure projects
  • Experience leading survey teams and coordinating field activities
  • Proficiency with Topcon, Leica or Trimble equipment
  • Strong capability in 12d Model and 12d Synergy
  • Sound knowledge of survey control, set-out, as-builts and QA requirements
  • Clear communication skills and the confidence to resolve technical issues with project stakeholders

Diversity and inclusion

We recognise that we are strengthened by diversity, and we embrace differences as an equal opportunity employer providing a flexible and inclusive workplace.

So, join our team, be yourself and help us power futures and create legacies.

We’re a purpose and values-led business guided by our values of family, empowered, collaborative and driven. For further details on what makes BMD unique, head to https://www.bmdgroup.global/careers
