With more than 4,500 ASMers representing 70 nationalities, our people and our advanced semiconductor devices are playing a crucial role in trends such as 5G, cloud computing, AI, and autonomous driving. But we’re more than just a tech company. We value diversity, inclusion and sustainability as we strive to make a positive impact on the world. Our development programs help support your growth, shaping your future and pushing the boundaries of innovation to unleash potential.

Job's mission

Join us to turn emerging technologies into practical solutions that advance manufacturing and operations. As our AIoT and Intelligent Automation Solutions Engineer, you will design and deliver solutions spanning AIoT, edge intelligence, computer vision, intelligent workflow automation, and emerging humanoid-assisted operations. You will bring ideas from concept and pilot through deployment and scale, working across engineering, operations, OT, IT, cybersecurity, and external partners to create solutions that deliver sustainable operational value.

What you will be working on

  • Design and deploy AIoT, computer vision, and intelligent automation solutions for manufacturing and operations.Integrate sensors, machine data, edge systems, vision systems, AI models, control environments, and enterprise applications while maintaining appropriate OT/IT segregation.
  • Lead pilots for applications including machine monitoring, asset intelligence, assisted inspection, anomaly detection, and semi-autonomous workflows.
  • Evaluate opportunities to use humanoid-assisted and intelligent automation for repetitive, constrained, hazardous, or ergonomically challenging tasks.
  • Define requirements, roadmaps, minimum viable product scope, success metrics, deployment plans, and adoption approaches using project and product management practices.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, OT, IT, cybersecurity, vendors, and system integrators to address deployment architecture, integration readiness, commissioning, and sustainment needs.
  • Establish performance measures and support the transition from pilot to scaled operations, including ownership, training, support models, and value tracking.
  • Evaluate technologies and vendors based on technical fit, cybersecurity risk, maintainability, scalability, supportability, and total cost of ownership.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Computer Engineering, AI, Computer Vision, or a related field
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in intelligent automation, AIoT, computer vision, smart manufacturing, industrial digitalization, or AI-enabled automation delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of OT/IT architecture and segregation, industrial connectivity, machine data, edge systems, cybersecurity constraints, and deployment execution.
  • Experience delivering automation projects or products through key stages such as concept development, business case, pilot, implementation, handover, and scale-up.
  • Ability to work effectively across engineering, operations, OT, IT, cybersecurity, vendors, and system integrators.

What sets you apart

  • Experience applying AI or computer vision in manufacturing or operational environments.
  • Experience moving automation solutions beyond proof of concept into sustainable, scaled operations.
  • Knowledge of intelligent, semi-autonomous, or humanoid-assisted automation applications.
  • Strong project delivery and product ownership skills, with the ability to turn technical requirements into practical implementation plans.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex integration and commissioning challenges across interconnected systems.Strong cross-functional communication and problem-solving skills.

Apply today to be part of what’s next.

We make the tech that enables the chips in devices which improve lives around the world. We do this with an eye to the future, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible through cutting-edge innovation, and driving the next wave of technological breakthroughs that shape how we live, work, and connect.
