Job's mission

As part of ASM’s Global Manufacturing Logistics team, you will lead global freight and transportation across air, ocean, road, express and specialized freight. You will build a standardized, data-driven capability that delivers safe, compliant, reliable and cost-effective movement while protecting manufacturing continuity and customer commitments.

What you will be working on

  • Provide functional leadership for global freight operations and logistics providers across inbound materials, intercompany flows, spare parts and finished capital equipment
  • Manage forwarders, carriers, customs brokers and logistics providers through clear SLAs, scorecards and business reviews
  • Own transportation escalations, service recovery and corrective actions for recurring performance gaps
  • Partner with Procurement on tenders, lane strategies, provider selection and implementation
  • Manage freight budgets, forecasts, audit and payment controls, including rate validation, accruals, disputes and overcharge recovery
  • Deliver productivity through mode, route, consolidation, gateway and provider optimization while reducing premium freight
  • Establish a transportation control tower with shipment visibility, proactive exception management and clear escalation routines
  • Use dashboards and predictive insights to improve delivery, lead-time, spend, claims and provider performance
  • Maintain compliant cross-border execution and business-continuity plans for critical lanes and providers
  • Drive global standards and continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma and structured problem solving
  • Lead logistics planning for quarter-end and other critical business timelines
  • Collaborate with Warehouse Operations, Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Finance, Customer Operations and regional logistics teams

What we are looking for

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business or a related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in global transportation, freight or supply chain operations
  • Proven leadership of international air, ocean and road freight in a global manufacturing environment
  • Strong capability in freight procurement, budgeting, provider governance and cost optimization
  • Working knowledge of customs interfaces, freight claims, compliance and transportation risk
  • Strong analytical and digital skills across Excel, BI tools, ERP and Transportation Management Systems
  • Strategic, data-driven leader with strong communication, influencing and problem-solving skills in a global matrix

What sets you apart

  • Lean, Six Sigma or recognized supply chain certification
  • Experience leading tenders, network redesign, control towers or logistics transformation
  • A measurable record of improving service, cost, resilience and provider performance
