About the role

SEB is more than a bank. We are a technology-driven financial institution where everything starts with our customer needs and business outcomes. Cloud, AI, automation and modern engineering are natural parts of how we build, operate, and continuously improve our technology platforms. From core banking platforms to hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, platform engineering, AI-enabled operations and automation, we offer a broad tech landscape and many paths to grow. Together, we are shaping secure, responsible, and future-proof solutions for our customers and society. Are you ready to take on a new challenge?

We are now looking for a Senior Solution Architect to join the Customer Lifecycle Management area, with a primary focus on Customer MDM and customer lifecycle architecture, including integration with KYC Assessment. In Business Enabler Solutions, architecture plays a key role in enabling long-term transformation across some of the bank’s most important capabilities.

About the role

You will play a key role in modernising a complex banking landscape, balancing long-term architectural direction with practical transformation needs. The role requires navigating dependencies across business domains, technology platforms and legal entities while maintaining clear accountability and ownership.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Define architectural direction and translate target architecture into actionable decisions, transition roadmaps and guidance for delivery teams.
  • Drive the modernisation and simplification of the customer master data landscape, including coexistence, consolidation and transition from legacy solutions.
  • Ensure that architectural decisions reflect clear ownership, accountability and legal-entity responsibility.
  • Enable a consistent customer view within SEB AB across a landscape with multiple CRM solutions.
  • Contribute to the architecture and integration of adjacent master data capabilities, such as Fund Master, ensuring clear domain boundaries, ownership and accountability.
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to align architectural decisions across domains and delivery teams.
  • Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve architectural analysis, solution design and documentation.
  • Explore opportunities for AI-enabled capabilities within Customer Lifecycle Management, while ensuring clear data ownership, accountability and regulatory compliance.

To thrive in this role, we believe you have

  • Extensive experience working as a solution architect, domain architect, or enterprise architect in complex transformation environments.
  • The ability to understand and manage complexity, identify opportunities for simplification, and ensure clear architectural accountability.
  • Experience from areas such as customer lifecycle management, KYC, onboarding, master data, compliance, or core banking transformation.
  • The ability to balance long-term target architecture with pragmatic delivery needs.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to develop and evaluate architectural options, explain their implications and recommend well-founded solutions to both business and technology stakeholders.
  • A collaborative mindset and the seniority to challenge constructively when needed.
  • Experience using AI-powered tools to improve engineering, operations or automation workflows, either professionally or through personal projects.

Additional experience that would be valuable

  • Customer master data and customer relationship lifecycle architecture.
  • Previous experience as a technical lead or senior software engineer.
  • Banking or another highly regulated environment.

What we offer

  • Modern ways of working, embracing AI-assisted tools and new approaches to architecture to improve collaboration, efficiency and quality.
  • A flat hierarchy and openness to share ideas, opinions and points of view.
  • Extensive training and learning opportunities.
  • Mobility within a large global company.
  • A hybrid work model, with the possibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.
  • A central role in shaping a strategically important architecture area.

Do you want to be a part of SEB?

If you are motivated by complex architecture, meaningful transformation, and the opportunity to shape a critical domain in a large and regulated organization, we would love to hear from you. It is our fundamental belief that inclusion and diversity are crucial for our future success. We strive to have an inclusive, value-driven culture where employees feel valued, respected, and involved irrespective of who they are, what they believe, or where they come from.

Since we select candidates continuously, feel free to send in your application today, but no later than 22nd of November 2026. If you have questions about the position, please contact Björn Markeryd via bjorn.markeryd@seb.se.

Please be aware that final candidates undergo background checks. This process may include identity verification, verification of qualifications, credit checks, company engagements, and criminal records. In some cases, random drug testing may also be applied.

SEB Sweden has a redeployment responsibility, why this position might be covered by internal redeployment.
