Agile Robots SE is a high-tech startup based in Munich. Our mission is to bridge the gap between AI and robotics by developing robotic systems that offer state-of-the-art full-body force sensitivity and world-leading vision intelligence. This unique combination of technologies enables us to provide intelligent, easy-to-use and affordable robotic solutions with safe human-robot interaction.

We are a dynamic and innovative software development company dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology. We specialize in creating cutting-edge solutions that transform industries and redefine user experiences

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute structured test plans for robotic components, modules, and fully integrated systems
  • Validate functionality, robustness, and performance of software and hardware in real robotic platforms
  • Develop Python-based test scripts, tools, and automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage
  • Contribute C++ code when required for low-level testing, tooling, or integration support
  • Analyze robot behavior and system performance, identifying root causes for issues related to kinematics, motion planning, control, perception, or hardware interaction
  • Evaluate and debug complex robotic behaviors such as singularities, joint limit violations, trajectory instabilities, and configuration inconsistencies
  • Work with URDF models, coordinate transformations, and robot descriptions to validate system correctness
  • Support development and refinement of application demos, internal showcases, and customer-facing use cases• Collaborate closely with software, electronics, controls, and mechanical teams to reproduce issues and validate fixes
  • Document test procedures, results, defects, and system performance in a clear and structured manner
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing strategies, coverage, and automation infrastructure• Support field tests, prototype validation, demos and integration activities when required

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in robotics testing, applications engineering, integration, or system validation roles
  • Strong hands-on experience writing Python for testing, automation, data analysis, and robot interaction
  • Experience with C++ is a plus (especially for writing tests, tools, or interfacing with robot drivers)
  • Solid understanding of core robotics concepts, including kinematics, dynamics, singularities, joint limits, URDFs, coordinate transformations, and motion constraints
  • Experiencein testing and validating software and hardware modules in integrated robotic systems
  • Ability to design, execute, and analyze structured test plans — including edge case testing, regression testing, and real-world scenario validation
  • Strong debugging skills across software and hardware layers
  • Experience with Git, JIRA, and structured issue tracking workflows
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and system-level understanding• Excellent communication and documentation skills in English

Beneficial Skills

  • Experience building and maintaining robotics application demos for internal stakeholders or customers
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for robotics software
  • Familiarity with motion planning frameworks and validation of planning outputs
  • Knowledge of perception systems (cameras, LiDAR, IMUs) and sensor integration testing
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) or simulation-in-the-loop (SIL) validation
  • Familiarity with robotics safety concepts and validation procedures
  • Experience supporting customer deployments or reproducing field issues
  • Background in data visualization, performance benchmarking, or telemetry analysis
