About the role

NeuraGym is our physical AI training center, where we collaborate with our partners to gather extensive data and teach robots at scale. It serves as the infrastructure where applications are developed for all our robots - from our cognitive robots arm MAiRA to our humanoid 4NE1 and our service robot MiPA.

As a Robotics Service/Maintenance Technician at Neura, you are responsible for the precise mechanical assembly and commissioning of our humanoid robot 4NE1 and its subassemblies. You will work closely with our development and engineering teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards and operate flawlessly.

Your mission & challenges

  • Mechanical assembly, integration, and setup of humanoid robot prototypes
  • Assembly of modules, joints, actuators, and gear systems
  • Reading and implementing technical drawings and CAD derivations
  • Adjusting, reworking, and optimizing parts during the prototype phase
  • Supporting commissioning, testing, and system modifications
  • Identifying assembly issues and providing feedback to mechanical design
  • Using measurement tools for functional and quality inspections
  • Documenting assembly processes and prototype changes
  • Maintaining tools, fixtures, and workstations

What we can look forward to

Must‑have

  • Completed vocational training as an industrial mechanic, precision mechanic, mechatronics technician, or similar
  • Experience in prototype construction or assembly of complex mechanical systems
  • Strong understanding of mechanical assemblies and machine components
  • Confident reading of technical drawings
  • Skilled craftsmanship with a precise, clean working style
  • Independent and solution‑oriented working approach
  • Strong team spirit and good communication skills in German or English
  • Willingness to occasionally travel to support installations and commissioning at customer sites or trade fairs
  • Basic knowledge of electrical/electronic topics (e.g., wiring)

Nice‑to‑have

  • Experience in robotics, automation, or special‑machine construction
  • Experience with actuators, gear systems, or mechatronic assemblies
