About the role

About Everfield

Everfield buys, builds, and grows European vertical market and specialist software companies, providing them with the tools they need to move to the next level. Our mission is to foster ambition, fuel growth, and unlock opportunities for Europe's software ecosystem.

Companies in the Everfield ecosystem follow a decentralised model, maintaining their team, brand, and offices, while focusing on what they do best — building products and supporting customers. Founded in 2022, Everfield has an ecosystem presence in 7 countries and growing, with 38 portfolio companies across Europe.

About the role

We are expanding and scaling our origination capacity across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). We are looking for a driven, commercially sharp M&A Originator to build and manage our deal pipeline across the CEE market.

This is a pure origination role. Your job is to find, contact, and build relationships with founders and owners of vertical B2B software companies — getting them to the table so our M&A team can take it forward. You will be the first point of contact for hundreds of founders, and the quality of those conversations will directly determine Everfield's growth in the region.

What you will do

  • Build and manage a high-volume outreach pipeline targeting vertical B2B software companies across CEE.
  • Identify target companies using tools including Grata, LinkedIn, HubSpot, and industry sources.
  • Conduct initial qualification calls with founders and CEOs to understand their business model, revenue profile, and openness to a partnership or acquisition conversation.
  • Qualify leads against Everfield's ICP — distinguishing between SaaS, license-based, and project-based software businesses.
  • Manage the relationship with interested founders through to NDA signing and information request stage.
  • Maintain rigorous CRM discipline in HubSpot — logging all outreach, calls, and pipeline movements consistently.
  • Represent Everfield at relevant industry events and meetups across CEE to build market presence and network.
  • Share learnings and best practices with the wider Everfield origination team across Europe.

What we are looking for

Must have

  • Fluent English — Everfield operates in English internally and across the region.
  • Fluency in at least one CEE language and strong cultural understanding of the region.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a high-volume outreach or BD role — you already have your own rhythm and don't need to be taught how to build a pipeline.
  • Proven experience speaking with C-suite — founders and CEOs require a different conversation than mid-level contacts, and you know the difference.
  • Comfortable with high rejection rates — you are energised by volume, not discouraged by it.
  • Self-directed and autonomous — you set your own KPIs and hold yourself accountable without being pushed.
  • Strong communication skills — both written and verbal; you know how to craft an outreach message that gets a response from a busy founder.

Nice to have

  • Additional CEE language skills — a strong plus for broader regional coverage. Background in fintech sales, M&A software (Datasite, Grata, Mergermarket, DealRoom), or B2B SaaS BD — you will already understand the world of the companies we acquire. Familiarity with SaaS business models and metrics (ARR, recurring vs non-recurring revenue, growth rates) — learnable on the job, but a head start helps. Existing network in the CEE tech/software ecosystem. Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM tools.
  • We are deliberately not requiring:
  • A finance or M&A background — the deal analysis and execution is handled by our M&A team. Experience closing or executing M&A transactions.

The right mindset for this role

This is not a traditional sales role. You are reaching out to founders about potentially the most significant financial decision of their lives — selling or partnering on their company. That requires a balance of high volume and genuine care: you need to be persistent enough to build a strong pipeline, and sensitive enough to know that every call matters and every founder deserves a thoughtful conversation.

If you enjoy building relationships, are comfortable with uncertainty, and want to play a direct role in shaping Everfield's growth across CEE, this is the role for you.

What we offer

  • A unique opportunity to build Everfield's origination presence across CEE.
  • High autonomy and direct impact — your pipeline drives our acquisitions.
  • Close collaboration with an experienced, international M&A and origination team across Europe.
  • Access to AI-assisted outreach tools embedded in HubSpot.
  • Competitive base salary + performance-linked variable component.
  • Flexible remote working from within the CEE region.
  • Regular team offsites across Europe.

Recruitment process

  1. Intro call with Talent Acquisition (30 min)
  2. Interview with CEE leadership / Country Manager (60 min)
  3. Interview with an Everfield Originator — peer validation (30 min)
  4. Offer
