About the role

Fairstead is a purpose-driven real estate firm dedicated to building affordable communities across the country. Headquartered in New York, with offices in Colorado, Florida, and Washington DC, Fairstead owns and manages a portfolio of more than 30,000 apartments, including pipeline, across 28 states. As an integrated owner, operator, and innovator, Fairstead brings development, construction, and property management under one unified platform to deliver high-quality affordable housing that serves our residents at scale.

At Fairstead, we believe affordable housing should be thoughtfully designed, professionally managed, and responsibly operated. We seek to create and preserve housing that serves residents while delivering long-term value to communities, partners, and stakeholders.

Fairstead challenges industry norms through our tech-forward, entrepreneurial approach to affordable housing. In addition to core real estate capabilities, we operate innovative service lines designed to improve resident outcomes, strengthen communities, and drive operational efficiency. We embrace digital transformation, data-driven decision-making, and emerging technologies, including AI, to build scalable systems that support sustainable growth, grounded in a culture of entrepreneurship, innovation, partnership, dedication, and integrity.

ResiBridge is an independent Internet Service Provider of low-cost connectivity options that empower communities to stay connected. Our mission is simple: provide seamless internet access through professional-grade routers, free installation, and unparalleled service.

Currently serving portions of Maryland, Ohio, Kentucky and the New York City metropolitan area including Newark, New Jersey, ResiBridge is rapidly expanding to other cities across the US. We design, build, and manage a cutting-edge hybrid network comprising fiber-optic technology and high-capacity wireless links, optimized for multi-dwelling units (MDUs). Leveraging innovative technologies traditionally reserved for commercial applications, ResiBridge delivers exceptional performance and bandwidth, ensuring a superior customer experience from initial onboarding to ongoing support.

At ResiBridge, we value innovation, collaboration, and customer-first solutions. We strive to create an inclusive and supportive workplace where every team member can thrive and make a meaningful impact.

ResiBridge is hiring a Lead Network Deployment Technician to supervise field teams across multiple sites and markets. This role blends hands-on technical expertise with field leadership and logistics coordination. The Lead Technician will oversee senior and standard technicians, support market launch efforts, ensure deployment consistency, and own accountability for execution quality in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate teams of Deployment Technicians across concurrent projects
  • Travel to new markets to lead deployment crews and establish local operational rhythm
  • Act as escalation point for technical field challenges, resolving issues quickly and thoroughly
  • Ensure all deployments meet ResiBridge standards for cable routing, labeling, equipment installation, and documentation
  • Work closely with the Network Deployment Manager to align daily deployment activities with production goals
  • Provide field-level feedback to improve tools, training, and process documentation
  • Track progress on deployments, materials usage, and crew performance, escalating risks proactively
  • Support and enforce safety practices and jobsite professionalism at all times

Requirements

  • 5+ years of network deployment experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Mastery of structured cabling, fiber optic installation/testing, and wireless equipment provisioning
  • Experience leading remote deployments, managing travel crews, and launching new markets
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple field teams simultaneously
  • Skilled in reading plans, marking up as-builts, and ensuring documentation is submitted accurately
  • Excellent communicator—able to interface with field teams, office staff, vendors, and property management
  • Willingness to travel (up to 40%), including overnight stays, to support deployments outside NYC

Nice-to-Haves

While not required, the following qualifications will be considered a significant plus:

  • Advanced Wireless Knowledge: Past experience with wireless backhaul technologies, including familiarity with 5GHz, 24GHz, 60GHz, and 70/80GHz frequency bands. This includes understanding the principles of operation, installation, and troubleshooting of wireless backhaul systems.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Salary Range

$70,000—$85,000 USD

Diversity in backgrounds and experiences is key to Fairstead’s success. Being an equal opportunity employer is a central tenet of our philosophy that shapes who we are and the communities we serve. Our goal is to ensure competitive total compensation that is commensurate with experience, location, and other market benchmarks.
