The Opportunity

Step into a pivotal technical role where marketing technology, engineering and innovation come together to create connected, scalable audience experiences.

As our Senior Marketing Technology Specialist, you’ll be a hands-on technical expert across University Marketing’s technology ecosystem, building integrations, automations and data flows that connect platforms and enable personalised customer experiences.

This is primarily a builder role, requiring hands-on delivery alongside the architectural thinking to design scalable solutions beyond individual platforms or integrations. You’ll collaborate with Marketing, Data and Technology teams to solve complex technical challenges, explore AI-enabled solutions and evolve our MarTech capabilities, while working within University architecture and engineering standards and partnering with eSolutions where enterprise systems and shared services are involved.

As a senior technical individual contributor, you’ll establish best practices and uplift team capability without direct people management responsibilities.

Your Day to Day...

  • Build and optimise integrations across marketing platforms, CRM, customer data and enterprise systems.
  • Design and build scalable, reusable technical solutions using APIs, scripts, webhooks and workflow automation to connect platforms, streamline processes and enable reliable data flows across the MarTech ecosystem
  • Translate business needs into practical technical solutions and resolve complex integration issues.
  • Enable audience segmentation, personalisation and customer journeys through connected data flows.
  • Apply engineering best practices to ensure solutions are secure, reliable and scalable.
  • Explore AI-enabled workflows while supporting privacy, security and data governance.

About You

You’re a builder first, with strong hands-on technical skills and the architectural thinking to connect systems and deliver scalable solutions.

You will bring:

  • Relevant qualifications and extensive experience in marketing technology, software or integration engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with APIs, webhooks, data flows and platform integrations.
  • Proficiency in SQL and a scripting language such as JavaScript, TypeScript or Python.
  • Experience across marketing technology platforms, including CRM, marketing automation, customer data and analytics.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with cloud or data platforms such as Azure or Databricks.
  • Knowledge of engineering best practices, data governance, privacy and security.
  • Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with workflow automation, generative AI or agentic integration patterns, including MCP or comparable approaches, will be highly regarded.
