We work with independent artists, record labels, and content creators to power their growth through cutting-edge technology, global sales and marketing networks, and comprehensive video services. Our Pan African team drives marketing, strategic partnerships, and label services across the African continent.

As team we meet in the office Monday-Thursday. Fridays are usually spent working remotely.

What you will do

  • Client & Label Management: Manage end-to-end relationships with distributed music clients, labels, and management teams across Africa (handling frontline releases and high-volume catalogues).
  • Campaign Execution: Design, logistically execute, and measure multi-channel release marketing campaigns from inception through post-release analysis.
  • Business Development & Content Acquisition: Pitch and onboard high-potential labels, independent artists, and catalog owners to The Orchard's distribution ecosystem.
  • Cross-Territory Alignment: Partner with regional team members, international marketing, finance, legal, and video services teams to deliver comprehensive support for client projects.
  • Brand & Strategic Partnerships: Identify and secure brand partnerships, event sponsorships, and co-marketing opportunities to amplify client visibility.
  • Product & Platform Adoption: Drive client adoption of internal tech suite and workstation analytics tools to empower partner growth.
  • Industry Representation: Serve as an active local representative for The Orchard at music industry events, showcases, and conferences across Africa.

Who You Are

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, product management, or account management within the African music industry (label, distribution, or DSP context).
  • DSP & Metadata Expertise: Deep operational understanding of digital supply chains, content management systems, digital metadata, and streaming algorithms across Afrobeats, Afro-R&B, Gospel, and emerging genres.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication in English, with strong skills in diplomatic stakeholder management and executive presentation.
  • Industry Network: Established network of relationships across Brands, media outlets, talent managers, and independent label executives in Africa.
  • Organizational Capability: Exceptional ability to multitask, prioritize tight delivery deadlines, and remain structured in a fast-moving release ecosystem.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends for shows and industry functions) and travel regionally/internationally as required.
