This position will be responsible for delivering engaging lectures, tutorials and practical classes, developing and coordinating curriculum, and providing high-quality teaching and assessment across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. You will supervise and mentor honours and higher degree by research students, contribute to postgraduate training, and foster an engaging and supportive learning environment. To be successful in this role you will have a doctoral qualification or equivalent standing in microbiology or a relevant discipline, with a strong record of research achievement, high-quality publications and success in securing external research funding. You will bring demonstrated tertiary teaching experience, including curriculum development and course coordination. A proven commitment to supervising higher degree by research students, alongside experience mentoring students and colleagues, is essential. You will also demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to provide academic leadership and build productive relationships across the University and the wider scientific community.
