Senior Industrial Welding Engineer - Contract
DISHER is seeking a Senior level Industrial Engineer to support a 2-year project with our customer team in the Medical Device industry.

What you will get to do
- Define the ideal future-state layout and align value streams across the entire business.
- Execute re-lay out the whole building.
- Heavy AutoCAD layout work, material flow through the site, inefficiency identification, and physical equipment move planning (pick-and-place of multi-station assembly lines, inventory placement, materials impact on the building).
- Secondary support on minor efficiencies during individual line moves.
- Onsite in Portage MI.
- Work 40 hours/week.
What will make you successful
- 8+ years of Industrial Engineering in a high volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong AutoCAD and facility layout skills (primary task).
- Needs to be hands on and ready to help where needed.
- Experienced in value stream mapping and material flow analysis at a building or site level.
- Prior involvement in plant rearrangement, line relocation, or greenfield/brownfield layout projects.
- Not a time-study line balance specialist but a very skilled in a cell-level time study.
- Previous experience in Medical Device, Automotive or Consumer Goods industry.
- Experience in many small moves or smaller-scale relocations (full building move experience is NOT required but helpful)
