About the Role

Support project leaders in implementing BMD safety, environment and quality systems across a major infrastructure opportunity. You will provide practical field support, conduct assurance activities and help teams continually improve compliance and performance. BMD is building a project leadership team for a major Tier 1 infrastructure opportunity in South Australia. The role will support a complex, multidisciplinary program with significant civil, structural and marine interfaces. This advertisement is intentionally general and does not identify the project or client.

Your role will include

  • Support implementation of safety, environmental and quality standards, compliance requirements and due-diligence activities.
  • Provide guidance to construction and estimating teams on safety, environmental and quality requirements.
  • Act as a point of contact for project safety, environment and quality matters.
  • Conduct audits and inspections, analyse findings and support system improvements.
  • Prepare reports for senior management and assist with workforce education and training.
  • Prepare and review work method statements, project plans, inspection and test plans, and associated project documentation.
  • Keep current with relevant legislation, standards and industry requirements.

About You

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Practical HSEQ experience in civil construction or major infrastructure.
  • Experience completing site audits, inspections, reporting and corrective-action follow-up.
  • Ability to work closely with supervisors, engineers, subcontractors and project leaders in an active construction environment.
  • Sound written communication and documentation skills.
  • A Tier 1 or Tier 2 background, preferably across civil, structural, marine or other multidisciplinary infrastructure.
  • Willingness to work in or relocate to Adelaide.
  • Relevant safety, environmental, quality or WHS qualification.
  • Experience developing work method statements, project plans, inspection and test plans, and workforce training.
  • Experience on large, complex or high-risk infrastructure projects.
