It could be the start of something, well, extraordinary.

As our Senior Data Journalist, you’ll:

Play a pivotal role within the PR & Corporate Comms team, interrogating GWI data and transforming it into actionable, commercially impactful and, editorially punchy narratives. A few things you’ll be responsible for:

  • Support proactive pitches and media enquiries with data points to strengthen the story and build trust with media partners.
  • Partner with the Marketing and PR team to deliver narrative and unique view points for events through relevant formats and channels
  • Collaborating with Head of Comms, lead on the development and upkeep of industry wide data story tracking and wider press narrative trends, themes and forward features.

It’s also fun; shaking things up is what working for GWI is all about. You’ll need to be flexible, comfortable with continuous change, and working in a high-tempo environment.

What do I need to bring with me?

You’ll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you’re willing to learn. Here’s what the team will be looking for in you:

  • Expert analysis and storytelling skills, with the ability to turn data into insights that directly address media enquiries and client challenges.
  • Adaptability to engage diverse audiences—from research specialists to commercial leaders—always bringing the room with you

  • Deep experience with quantitative research methods and mastery of GWI’s data and software.
  • Solid understanding of GWI’s competitive landscape and future as the human intelligence for the AI era.
  • Proven ability to work independently, managing the end-to-end process of thought leadership creation.

Equally important is attitude. We want people who think big (to make an impact), ask why (to find a better way), and show respect (to everyone, at every level, all the time). Those are our values, and they’re a big part of what we’re looking for in you.
