About the role

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Architect to define the strategic vision, enterprise-wide governance, and next-generation evolution of our overarching data architecture. You will set the enterprise standard for data management, advanced data modeling, and architectural design, enforcing best practices and ensuring our mission-critical data platforms are resilient, performant, and deeply aligned with long-term strategic objectives.

The main responsibilities of the position include

  • Partner with IT leadership to establish, plan, and execute departmental targets and KPIs in alignment with corporate goals.
  • Oversee the end-to-end data architecture lifecycle, including platform selection, technical design, and the delivery of critical modernization programs.
  • Manage conceptual, logical, and physical data models while defining non-functional requirements (scalability, performance) for mission-critical systems.
  • Establish enterprise-wide data architecture guidelines, lead technical review sessions, and maintain version-controlled architectural artefacts.
  • Collaborate with IT Governance on metadata management, data quality metrics, and audit compliance to ensure adherence to security and enterprise regulations.
  • Drive continuous innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and integrating advanced analytics capabilities to enhance data-driven solutions.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the data architecture team by setting performance targets, providing regular feedback, and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.
  • Partner closely with project teams as an embedded contributor, guiding schema design, physical design choices (e.g., indexing and partitioning), data access patterns, and query optimization best practices.
  • Advise project teams on the end-to-end data product lifecycle, from platform selection through testing and implementation.
  • Develop onboarding and training programs for Data Architecture, and extend architectural expertise and services across all Group companies.

Main requirements

  • BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in data-architecture or related roles, including leadership of enterprise initiatives
  • Deep expertise in data-platform patterns (lakehouses, data mesh) and advanced modelling techniques
  • Proven track record in designing scalable, high-availability data architectures and respective SLAs
  • Demonstrable Experience across the following domains:
  • Metadata and Master Data Management, Data Quality, Data Warehousing, Reporting & Data/Analytics.
  • Enterprise data modelling
  • Data Governance
  • Data Platforms
  • ETL Tools
  • Data Standards
  • Demonstrable experience using Cloud data technologies to develop enterprise data platforms
  • Proven success in architecting enterprise data strategies, building ROI-driven business cases, and aligning architecture across multiple business units.
  • Strong expertise in designing automated data pipelines and navigating data security, privacy frameworks, and regulations.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing technical team.
  • Highly effective in agile delivery models, with excellent facilitation skills for Architecture Review Boards and stakeholder committees.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
