About the role

MongoDB’s Analytics team partners across go-to-market and Product to help the business make better decisions. We work with Sales, GTM Operations, FP&A, CRM Technology, and Product teams to connect data at a granular level, understand performance, and identify opportunities to improve how we operate.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you’ll work with business and technical partners to frame questions, deliver reliable analysis, and translate findings into practical recommendations. You’ll contribute to analytics and reporting that make complex information easier to understand and act on.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Gurgaon for our hybrid working model.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with Sales, GTM Operations, FP&A, CRM Technology, and Product to understand business questions and shape them into clear analytical work
  • Analyze business performance, including pipeline health, funnel movement, productivity, attainment, and other team priorities
  • Write SQL analyses and build reusable datasets; use Python or R for data exploration, analysis, and automation
  • Build and improve dashboards and reporting that help teams monitor performance and investigate changes
  • Identify meaningful trends, risks, and opportunities; explain what the analysis does and does not show; and recommend next steps
  • Work with data and systems partners to investigate quality issues, clarify definitions, and improve data reliability
  • Communicate results clearly to technical and non-technical audiences and follow through on whether recommendations are adopted

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or a related field. We welcome candidates with different backgrounds and strong evidence of relevant skills and impact
  • Strong SQL skills are required, including the ability to join and aggregate data, reason about metric definitions, and validate results
  • Experience using Python or R for analysis and data manipulation is a plus
  • Experience turning business questions into structured analysis and communicating findings to different audiences
  • Familiarity with dashboards or data visualization tools; Tableau experience is helpful
  • Good data judgment: you check assumptions and data quality, are transparent about limitations, and can distinguish a useful signal from noise
  • A collaborative, dependable approach to working with business and technical partners, including when requirements are still taking shape
  • Experience in SaaS, go-to-market, sales, finance, or product analytics is helpful, but not required
