About the role

More than 135 years ago, we started with core values that never go out of style: listen, learn and help businesses and individuals reach their goals. These core values shape our culture, and we were recently Great Place to Work Certified because of our outstanding workplace culture and employee experience. As well, our financial strength and stability are key reasons Forbes named us one of the Best 100 Banks in America for the tenth consecutive year.

With more than $18 billion in assets and 150 branch locations throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and California, we understand our role in the economy and take that responsibility seriously. In addition to offering a source of capital to personal banking clients and businesses of all sizes, we place a high importance on employee volunteerism and donate millions of dollars each year to community organizations.

Join a role where your expertise in commercial banking directly fuels business growth and community impact. As a Senior Commercial Relationship Manager, you’ll build and lead a high-performing portfolio of complex commercial clients while partnering closely to deliver tailored credit and treasury solutions. This is an opportunity to combine strategic business development with meaningful client relationships. In this role you'll

  • Build, deepen, and manage relationships with large, complex commercial and Agricultural clients
  • Focus business development efforts across commercial & industrial (C&I) and Agricultural opportunities and specialized industry verticals
  • Structure and negotiate loan terms within your authority to meet client needs and organizational goals
  • Prepare and present comprehensive credit analyses and lending recommendations
  • Conduct ongoing credit reviews to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and manage portfolio risk, maintaining accurate risk ratings and proactive issue identification
  • Represent the bank in the community to build brand awareness and strengthen local partnerships
  • Mentor and coach less experienced relationship managers and support team development
  • Partner with loan support staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment
  • Ensure adherence to all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Law, Computer Science, or a related field (Required). An equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • You have 6+ years of experience in commercial credit, financial analysis, or business development (Required)
  • Ag experience highly preferred.

What helps you shine

  • You have a proven track record of developing and managing large, complex client relationships
  • You bring strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • You understand local market dynamics and leverage that insight to grow business
  • You have deep financial acumen and can confidently underwrite and structure commercial and Agricultural credit solutions
  • You possess strong knowledge of treasury and cash management products
  • You are well-versed in regulatory requirements, including commercial lending laws and appraisal guidelines
  • You take a proactive, analytical approach to managing risk and portfolio performance
