About the role

Join the company that’s building the telemetry infrastructure for the AI era. At Cribl, we partner with IT and Security teams at many of the world’s biggest enterprises, including half of the Fortune 100, to bridge the gap between AI ambition and infrastructure reality. As the AI Platform for Telemetry, we give customers the choice, control, and flexibility to manage and analyze telemetry for both humans and agents, so they can build what’s next.

We’re one of the fastest‑growing private companies and a leading player in a massive, fast‑moving market. With a global workforce, we’re remote‑first and grounded in a simple idea: software is a people business. Cribl is the place where curious, collaborative people can do their best work, grow fast, and bring their full selves to the herd.

Why You’ll Love This Role

Cribl is expanding its Legal team to meet Cribl’s rapidly growing needs! In this role, you’ll be part of a high-performing, collegial and prominent Commercial team that partners with our global GTM team and directly contributes to driving Cribl’s growth.

As An Active Member Of Our Team, You Will…

  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, including SaaS subscription agreements for cloud and on-premise software deployments, partnership, reseller and MSP contracts, distribution agreements, non-disclosure agreements, data processing agreements, information security agreements, business associate agreements, and vendor contracts;
  • Collaborate with and support the partner channel teams in facilitating and negotiating deals with partners;
  • Provide expert legal advice and support to sales and other cross-functional teams on legal issues, including problem-solving with a focus on providing available options, discussing risks for options, and executing on options the client selects;
  • Use standardized contract review and risk-assessment processes, including documenting contracts and obligations, and use contract and matter management tools and software;
  • Develop and improve form agreements and negotiation playbooks to drive consistency, reduce cycle time, and enable the Legal team to scale effectively;
  • Create and deliver training to business teams on legal best practices, effective engagement with the Legal team, and relevant legal and regulatory developments; and
  • Coordinate with other internal team members on cross-functional issues, including privacy, security, compliance, and product, as needed.

We are a remote-first company and work happens across many time-zones – you may be required to occasionally perform duties outside your standard working hours

If You’ve Got It - We Want It

  • At least 6 - 8 years of experience in a commercial in-house role at a technology company in the SaaS industry;
  • Passion for the law, technology, and eagerness to learn;
  • Experience supporting and collaborating with sales, partner channel, and procurement teams to achieve business objectives within the risk parameters established by the Legal team;
  • Ability to build consensus and drive alignment across many internal and external stakeholders and teams;
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with a demonstrated ability to identify problems, propose solutions and execute;
  • Conversant with business and legal operations systems such as Ironclad, Salesforce, Spellbook, and Guru;
  • Comfort in a remote environment, self-motivated to work asynchronously and independently as the manager and team members sit in different time zones throughout the US, EMEA and APAC;
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency, collaboratively in a team-focused environment;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write concisely and to communicate clearly and cross-functionally at all levels of the organization to support business-led decisions;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • A great sense of humor and a customer service mindset; and
  • Juris Doctorate and a relevant license to practice law in good standing.
