In this role, you'll lead renewal strategies, client meetings, and employee communications while partnering with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to deliver responsive, knowledgeable service. Your ability to anticipate needs, resolve concerns, and turn complex information into practical recommendations will help strengthen client relationships and support long-term retention.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Lead the full renewal process, including carrier marketing, negotiations, cost analysis, recommendations, and implementation.
  • Develop and execute benefits strategies aligned with each client's goals and financial objectives.
  • Lead annual service planning and key client meetings, presenting actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Gather client information, prepare requests for proposals, and obtain alternative plan designs and carrier quotes.
  • Coordinate communication among clients, insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and benefit vendors.
  • Manage new client implementation, including onboarding activities, timelines, and carrier setup.
  • Prepare and present open enrollment materials and employee benefit communications through virtual and in-person meetings.
  • Conduct compliance reviews and support required filings and documentation.
  • Complete and validate pre-renewal and renewal documents to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
  • Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and connect clients with additional solutions.
  • Support the implementation and use of benefits technology platforms, online enrollment systems, and benefit administration tools.
  • Maintain accurate client records and manage workflows within agency systems and CRM platforms.
  • Stay current on employee benefits trends and industry developments through ongoing professional development.
  • Participate in or manage additional initiatives and projects as needed.

Who You Are

  • A relationship-focused professional who builds trust with clients and colleagues.
  • A confident communicator who listens closely and presents recommendations clearly.
  • Proactive in anticipating client needs, uncovering concerns, and following through on solutions.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Analytical and practical when evaluating benefit options and resolving client issues.
  • Comfortable working with employees, key contacts, and executives across different organizational levels.
  • Collaborative and effective at coordinating with carriers, vendors, and internal partners.
  • Committed to continued learning and delivering consistent, high-quality client service.

What You Bring

Day One

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • A minimum of 5–7 years of employee benefits account management or related insurance experience.
  • 3-5 years of firm self-funded experience.
  • Experience with fully insured and alternative funding arrangements.
  • Excellent listening, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build professional relationships and communicate effectively with employees, key contacts, and executives.
  • Strong organizational skills, including daily prioritization and the ability to manage multiple details simultaneously.
  • Logical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to resolving client concerns.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency with online platforms and database management tools.

About Patriot Growth Insurance Services

At Patriot, we build our teams around a simple idea: people do their best work when they feel supported as whole people, not just managed as employees. We're invested in your growth, not just your output, and we back that up with a competitive salary and a comprehensive health and welfare program that extends to your family and domestic partners too, because who you're building a life with matters to us as much as the work you do.

Founded in 2019, Patriot is a growth-focused national insurance services firm that partners with employee benefits and property and casualty agencies across the United States. We're currently ranked the 25th-largest broker in the U.S. by Business Insurance and were named to the 2025 Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies. With over 2,100 employees operating in 150+ locations across more than 45 states, our collaborative model gives every person and every agency the resources and support they need to grow, while each agency keeps its own identity, culture, and way of doing business.
