Key Responsibilities
- Backend Development: Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs, from technical design to production.
- Architecture & Scale: Own complex features and sub-systems spanning multiple services, designed for large data volumes, multi-tenancy, performance, and cost in the cloud.
- Production Ownership: Investigate issues across systems, profile and optimize production code, and spot risks before they reach customers.
- AI-Augmented Engineering: Use AI tooling in your daily work, with the judgment to steer, review, and challenge what it produces.
- Technical Leadership: Raise the team's practices and code health through design proposals, code reviews, and mentoring.
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant field.
- 7+ years of hands-on backend development, with a track record of owning significant features from design through delivery.
- Deep expertise in at least one backend language among Node.js/TypeScript, PHP, Go, or Python; production experience with two or more is a strong plus.
- Proven ability to get up to speed quickly on complex systems and take ownership of key parts of them, whether building from scratch or evolving what exists.
- Strong fundamentals in software design and distributed systems: event-driven architectures, queues, database performance, testing.
- Experience with AWS (serverless, containers, IaC) and observability tooling. Salesforce experience is a plus.
- Equivalent engineering school degree or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Fluent in English and French, with clear communication, ownership mindset, and strong collaborative skills.

- Hybrid: 3 days in the office / 2 days remote work.
- Full time permanent contract position.
