About the role

Thanks for your interest in Success Academy! Running a large, fast-growing, and high-performing network of public charter schools takes a village - families, children, teachers, staff and faculty, advocates, and supporters alike. We are growing fast in New York and expanding to Florida, and we would love to welcome you to our community! We work tirelessly every day to ensure children have access to a fun, rigorous, whole-child education regardless of zip code or economic status. When you join SA, you play a part in giving every student who walks through our doors a fair shot at reaching his or her potential.

About the Role

The Senior Associate, School Operations, is an experienced professional who serves as a critical driver for systems and continuous improvement across the network. Reporting directly to the Leader of School Operations Process Improvement, you will be responsible for the seamless development, execution, and continuous iteration of core operational programs and policies that ensure a high bar of quality and consistency across all our schools.

This role requires a blend of specialized program management skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will be the primary point person for translating strategic operational priorities into clear, actionable, and consistently executed standard work for our school-based operations teams, directly impacting areas such as school safety, quality assurance, technology integration, and financial compliance.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Associate will own and drive the following core workstreams and responsibilities:

  • Operational Program Management & Scaling:
  • Lead the end-to-end management of critical network-wide operations programs
  • Own the development, maintenance, and dissemination of core operational standard work and playbooks
  • Manage operational deliverables communicated to schools via the project management platform (Trello), ensuring clear guidance, timely publishing, and consistent follow-up on completion rates.
  • Systems and Technology Implementation:
  • Partner closely with the Technology team (CX Tech, SIS) to support the network-wide rollout of operational technology enhancements.
  • Design and document system improvements to streamline and automate school-based processes, ensuring technology platforms reduce administrative burden and enhance efficiency.
  • Policy and Compliance Oversight:
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives to codify and clarify network policies with operational implications.
  • Analyze and report on school compliance and performance against operational metrics.
  • Act as the Operations point-of-contact in cross-functional meetings, ensuring operational systems align with requirements from network partners.
  • Data Analysis & Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct data collection, analysis, and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics.
  • Prepare and present executive memos and resources that summarize program results, trends, and next steps for school leadership and network partners.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in project/program management, operations, or a related highly analytical role. Experience in an education or high-growth environment is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects from concept to launch, with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and drive high-quality outcomes.
  • Expert-level attention to detail and organizational skills, particularly in developing clear, rigorous standard work, policies, and system documentation.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills, comfortable working with compliance data, performance metrics, and system usage reports.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to effectively communicate technical, policy, and compliance changes to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and effectively manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with project management and data analysis tools (e.g., Trello, Salesforce, Excel/Google Sheets).

Compensation, Benefits, & Perks

At Success Academy, we invest boldly in our Network team with a comprehensive package designed to support your health, financial future, and overall well-being:

  • Day-One Health & Wellness: Medical, dental, and vision coverage starting your first day (SA covers 82% of our core medical plan), plus a free One Medical membership and confidential mental health support via EAP/Talkspace.
  • Financial Security: 403(b) retirement plan with a 3% employer match, up to $2,400/year in employer HSA contributions, employer-paid life/disability insurance, and Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligibility.
