Key responsibilites as a Senior Development Analyst are to:

  • Own, maintain and review detailed feasibility models for industrial development projects, covering project costs, timing, leasing assumptions, funding requirements, valuations and return metrics.
  • Partner with Development Managers and senior leaders to challenge assumptions, identify commercial risks and opportunities, and provide clear recommendations to support project and portfolio decisions.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly and annual development reporting, including investor reports, strategic plans, budgets and forecasts, with clear commentary on performance and key movements.
  • Undertake scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis for acquisitions, developments, expansions, repositioning opportunities, leasing proposals and potential divestments.
  • Strengthen model governance, reporting standards and analytical tools while providing quality review, technical guidance and informal coaching to other team members.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will bring strong development finance and property analysis experience, together with the commercial judgement and stakeholder capability required to operate effectively at a senior level.

  • A minimum of eight years’ relevant experience in property development, real estate investment analysis or development finance, ideally within the industrial, logistics or warehouse sector.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Property, Finance, Commerce, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability, including experience building and reviewing complex development feasibility models. Experience with EstateMaster, ARGUS or similar tools will be highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of the full property development lifecycle, from acquisition, planning and construction through to leasing, valuation, completion and exit.
  • Well-developed commercial judgement, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and translate complex analysis into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
