About the role

About Omni

Omni is the AI analytics platform that turns company data into a trusted source of truth for AI. Built on a semantic model, Omni gives teams a governed context graph, so everyone gets the same trusted answer. Ask in plain English, refine in workbooks, or bring your data into tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and Slack.

Our team has spent decades building data platforms, and we started Omni to fix problems we saw firsthand. Today, we help customers like Condé Nast, BambooHR, and Synthesia get better answers from their data. We're headquartered in San Francisco and have raised $217M from top investors including ICONIQ, Theory Ventures, and Redpoint Ventures. Our latest $120M Series C valued us at $1.5B.

If you like helping people get more from their data, come build with us. We’d love to hear from you.

The Role

We're looking for a Senior Accountant to own the monthly close process and keep our books accurate, timely, and audit-ready as we scale our multi-entity operations and mature our controls ahead of continued growth. Our ideal candidate has a strong accounting foundation and a builder’s mindset: someone who digs into the details, challenges existing processes and leads improvements that make the close faster, more accurate and scalable. Reporting to the Sr. Accounting Manager, you'll work closely with the broader Finance team and cross-functional organization.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Global Close: Lead the global monthly close process, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and variance analysis, while standardizing the process across entities.
  • Intercompany Accounting: Establish scalable intercompany accounting processes and reporting to support a growing multi-entity structure.
  • Ownership & Judgment: Exercise judgment over owned areas, including vendor spend, accruals, capitalization, leases, and related accounting matters.
  • Continuous Improvement & Automation: Approach problems from a first-principles perspective, questioning existing processes and leading improvements and automation that make the close faster, more accurate, and more scalable.
  • Audit Support: Keep close deliverables audit-ready with clear documentation of positions and evidence; respond to external audit requests in your areas promptly and thoroughly.

About You

  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, at a a public or high-growth tech company.
  • Hands-on experience owning full-cycle month-end close with a strong working knowledge of GAAP.
  • Proven ability to manage account reconciliations independently, with a sharp eye for identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Experience and comfort with international, multi-entity and multi-currency accounting.
  • Confident and direct communicator who partners well across Finance and the business.
  • A self-starter who takes ownership, is calm under pressure, embraces change, and brings a continuous-improvement mindset.
  • Proficiency with modern accounting tech-stack tools, including Excel.

Nice to Haves

  • CPA or CPA-track.
  • Big Four public accounting experience.
  • Experience with Rillet, or similar ERP/close-management tools.

Location

This is a fully remote role open to candidates based anywhere in the US.

Omni is an equal opportunity employer. We value diversity and encourage you to apply even if you don’t check every single box. Please, let us know if you need any reasonable accommodations during the interview process.
