Squishable is a close-knit team of designers, artists, pop-culture fanatics, and lovers of all things adorable. Together we create the cutest, cuddliest (and sometimes downright unusual) plush and lifestyle products in the world. With the millions-strong Squishable fan community cheering us on (and a lot of cupcakes, coffee, and karaoke) we make people say “awww.” Our offices are in a sunny loft in NYC's Flatiron District and in downtown Washington, DC.

They are confident, creative, bright, friendly, adaptable, and able to perform at the highest level consistently. Candidates must be well-spoken and confident interacting with people at all levels while remaining calm and organized at all times.
What does a Seasonal Squishable Retail Sales Lead do?
The Retail Sales Lead is a key member of the store leadership team, supporting the Store Manager in driving sales, developing the team, and creating an exceptional experience for every Squishable fan. Responsibilities include:
- Supports the Store Manager in delivering a fun, welcoming, and efficient customer experience during the busy holiday season
- Helps lead the sales floor during peak periods, keeping the team focused on customer service and sales goals
- Drives holiday sales through customer engagement, product recommendations, and strong knowledge of Squishable products
- Supports seasonal promotions, merchandising, replenishment, and maintaining an organized, well-stocked sales floor
- Helps manage customer flow and resolves concerns with a positive, solution-oriented approach
- Provides day-to-day direction and support to team members and jumps in wherever needed during busy periods
- Supports opening, closing, and keyholder responsibilities, as assigned
Qualifications
- 1+ year of retail, customer service, or leadership experience in a fast-paced environment preferred
- Passion for people and creating a fun, welcoming customer experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to stay positive and flexible during busy periods
- Team player who can motivate others, take initiative, and jump in wherever needed
- Comfortable receiving and providing feedback and helping keep the team focused on shared goals
- Must have flexible availability throughout the holiday season, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Able to lift and move cartons weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Compensation
Pay range is $18.50-$19.00 per hour

Seasonal Duration: November 2026 through early January 2027
Availability Requirements: Seasonal team members must have flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as these are some of our busiest times of the year.
