About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to take a leadership role on a major infrastructure opportunity in Adelaide.

The project encompasses a substantial program of construction across large-scale industrial and manufacturing facilities, workshops, complex building services, civil infrastructure and supporting site works. The broader scope also incorporates waterfront infrastructure and associated marine works. This is a complex delivery environment requiring strong safety leadership across multiple work fronts, disciplines, contractors and construction interfaces.

Your role will include

  • Leading safety management and providing practical advice to project leadership
  • Establishing and maintaining effective safety systems and processes
  • Working with construction teams to identify critical risks and controls
  • Supporting incident investigation, assurance and continuous improvement
  • Coaching leaders and teams to strengthen safety capability
  • Building strong relationships across project and delivery stakeholders

About You

You will bring:

  • Significant safety leadership experience within Australian civil construction, infrastructure or major projects
  • Experience working in a Tier 1 or major contractor environment, or on projects of comparable scale and complexity
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, regulations and construction safety requirements
  • Demonstrated experience managing high-risk construction activities and critical risk controls
  • Experience developing and implementing project safety management systems, assurance and reporting
  • Strong incident investigation, risk management and continuous improvement capability
  • The credibility to influence Project Directors, Construction Managers, engineers, supervisors and frontline teams
  • Experience working across complex client, contractor and subcontractor interfaces
  • A practical, visible leadership style with the confidence to challenge and influence when required
