Position Summary
This role is responsible for leading all Store/Branch Operations for the Parker Store on Airport Road, including team leadership, purchasing, receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and accountability for branch performance and profitability.
Essential Functions
- Manage daily branch operations supporting fluid power, connectors, and industrial products, including customer inquiries, order entry, quotations, pricing, delivery status, and expediting.
- Lead, train, and develop branch personnel. Conduct performance reviews and recommend hiring, transfers, terminations, and wage adjustments. Address performance issues and ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Review orders and inquiries to ensure accurate product identification and pricing using established Tribute pricing guidelines.
- Purchase non-stock materials by sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotations, and issuing purchase orders.
- Receive and inspect incoming materials, verify quantities and condition, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate inventory records and BIN locations.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventories. Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams on inventory levels, returns, and discrepancies.
- Maintain branch records, reports, and cash-sale reconciliations using ROQ and CSPAY reports.
- Process counter sales and customer shipments by picking, packaging, and coordinating product delivery.
- Operate material-handling equipment and assemble hose products, including cutting hose and installing fittings to quality standards.
- Generate leads for outside sales, support quotations and customer requests, and accompany sales representatives on customer visits as needed.
- Travel as needed for training, company events, customer support, operational coverage, and other Hope Group locations.
- Support The Hope Group Business Management System (BMS) and continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience, Education and Skills
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or better preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in branch operations, industrial distribution, or a similar role.
- Knowledge of industrial products, preferably within the hydraulic/fluid power industry, including purchasing, inventory control, P&L responsibility, counter sales, and store management.
- Strong knowledge of industrial product applications and operating procedures.
- Experience with Parker Hydraulics products preferred.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and sound judgment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift products throughout the workday.
- Some travel required.
