About the role

About Lola Blankets

Lola Blankets was founded in 2021 by brothers Tommy and Will Higham in honor of their mother, Amy. While living with breast cancer, Amy found comfort in one thing: a soft, faux fur blanket. Before she passed, she gave one to each of her children, so they'd feel her love even when she couldn't be there. In 2021, Tommy and Will turned that gift into a company built on the same comfort and care.

We design the world's softest blankets, and a home lifestyle collection to match: pillows, pet accessories, candles, and more. Every piece is made to feel like an heirloom, not a throw. We're premium by design and precise about quality, because comfort deserves the same craft as anything else you'd invest in for your home.

We're looking for retail associates with real selling experience, a deep love for the Lola brand, and the ability to bring that same warmth and confidence to life in person, for every customer who walks through the door.

As a Retail Associate, you're on the floor every day bringing Lola's story to life for our customers: forging connections, sharing product knowledge, and creating an experience that feels as premium as the product itself. This is a founding role at our first store, and the energy and care you bring will help set the standard for every Lola store that comes after it.

  • Welcome every customer and make sure their experience is the best it can be
  • Get the product into customers’ hands and provide honest, knowledgeable feedback on fabrics, collections, and styling for the home
  • Forge lasting relationships with customers and engage with them about product details, new product launches
  • Be knowledgeable about what’s new and what’s selling well, upcoming replenishments and events, and share this with the customer

Be the Business

  • Support the team in achieving store sales goals
  • Seek new product knowledge in the broader fashion and home landscape to serve as an expert for the customer
  • Contribute to store projects while keeping the focus on customer experience
  • Flag inventory needs to the Floor Leads, Assistant Store Manager, or Store Manager

Store Care Operations

  • Support daily maintenance of the store; including restocking product, maintaining visual merchandising to Lola’s editorial standards, and cleaning
  • Follow store protocol and safety standards during opening and closing
  • Adhere to your scheduled shifts and role responsibilities at all times

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of retail or customer-facing sales experience
  • A real connection to the Lola brand and story, and enthusiasm for sharing it with customers
  • Available for full-time or part-time hourly shifts as scheduled by the Store Manager, including some evenings and weekends
  • Reliable and punctual, adhering to scheduled shifts
  • Ability to develop relationships with customers and colleagues
  • A customer service expert; You create experience and develop relationships with customers, embrace the social aspect of sales and the ability to positively and proactively handle customer concerns
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
  • Eager to develop new skills and responsive to feedback
