Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, engagement, and overall member experience for approximately 50 team members.
  • Facilitate member reviews by providing timely feedback, performance coaching, professional development, career advancement opportunities, recognition, and succession planning.
  • Provide proactive member communication and support team building and change management activities that foster an intentional culture.
  • Identify workforce needs through partnering with Project Managers and Technical Leads on estimating, proposals, staffing decisions, resource conflicts, and member utilization.
  • Participate in resource leadership and appropriate client team or project meetings.
  • Partner with recruiting to interview, select, and develop offers for new members in alignment with compensation standards.
  • Lead new-member integration, including timely access to equipment, workspace, software, training, personal protective equipment, and required safety training.
  • Administer compensation and bonus programs consistently.
  • Model Foth values through inclusive, ethical, transparent, safety-minded, and accountable leadership while delivering high-quality, timely work.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to build trusted relationships and influence decisions in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience providing feedback, navigating performance conversations, resolving conflict, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Experience collaborating across project, technical, recruiting, and Human Resources teams.
  • Ability to work from the Des Moines or Cedar Rapids office and travel 25-50% to support other locations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in engineering consulting, professional services, or another project-based environment.
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed employees.
  • Experience across the talent lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, compensation, development, succession planning, and engagement.
