Pulse Doctors is working with a leading independent healthcare provider on a permanent Resident Doctor vacancy within an inpatient oncology unit in central London. You'll deliver high-quality, patient-centred cancer care within one of London's most respected private oncology services, working closely with Consultant Oncologists and the wider multidisciplinary team. The hospital is internationally recognised for world-leading cancer diagnostics and treatment, with access to advanced oncology services, cutting-edge therapies and state-of-the-art facilities. It's a consultant-led service that empowers its Resident Doctors, so the role can grow as far as you want to take it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day inpatient medical management, including clerking planned and unplanned admissions
  • Undertake daily ward rounds and lead on routine clinical reviews
  • Manage acutely unwell patients, respond to medical emergencies and contribute to end-of-life care as required
  • Support continuity of care across inpatient and outpatient pathways in partnership with the multidisciplinary team
  • Work directly alongside internationally recognised Haematology and Oncology consultants and professors
  • Get involved in audits, QI projects, clinical governance and MDT meetings

Essential Criteria to Apply

  • Full GMC registration with a Licence to Practise in the UK
  • Full MRCP qualification
  • Completion of Foundation training plus IMT-2 / CMT-2 / ST3+ level or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience (minimum 2 years) managing oncology patients
  • A passion for teamwork and patient-focused care, with the ability to build and share best practice
  • A desire to develop within the role as cancer services grow

What's on Offer for You?

  • Salary of up to £87,000, depending on experience
  • Permanent contract, part-time or full-time
  • Opportunities for additional shifts through the provider's internal bank
  • Excellent colleague-to-patient ratios and access to some of the most advanced cancer therapies licensed in the UK
  • Real scope to shape your role through audit, QI projects and governance involvement
  • Dedicated study budget and study leave, plus funding and sponsorship for research and leadership development
  • Private healthcare insurance, pension contributions that increase with length of service, paid indemnity and group life assurance
  • 264 hours' annual leave (including bank holidays) on a full-time contract, with the option to buy or sell leave
  • Visa sponsorship available for suitably qualified international candidates
