About the role

Symbos is an Australian-led outsourcing and operations partner that helps businesses scale through exceptional people, streamlined processes and technology-enabled solutions. We create opportunities for talented professionals to work with leading organisations across Australia, New Zealand and beyond while building rewarding long-term careers.

About the Client

Our client is a well-established organisation operating across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, supporting a diverse portfolio of services and business units. As its Manila operation continues to grow, the organisation is strengthening its reporting, analytics and business improvement capability to support informed decision-making and operational excellence.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Reports Analyst to establish and elevate reporting and analytics capability within a growing operational environment.

You will gather business requirements, analyse operational data, build dashboards and turn complex information into practical recommendations. Working with stakeholders across multiple business units and geographies, you will provide the visibility and evidence needed to improve performance, strengthen decision-making and support strategic initiatives.

This is an opportunity to combine reporting, business analysis and process improvement in a role with direct exposure to operational and senior leaders.

What Sets This Role Apart

  • Build and shape reporting and analytics capability within a growing Manila operation
  • Work across business units in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore
  • Partner with operational leaders on high-impact business questions
  • Move beyond data presentation by providing interpretation and actionable recommendations
  • Combine dashboard development, business analysis, process improvement and change support

Key Responsibilities

Reporting and Analytics

  • Analyse operational data to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, risks and improvement opportunities
  • Design, build and maintain dashboards and reporting suites that provide visibility of key performance metrics
  • Establish standardised daily, weekly and monthly reporting aligned with business and leadership needs
  • Safeguard data integrity, consistency and accuracy across reporting outputs
  • Provide clear insights and recommendations to support operational and strategic decisions

Business Analysis

  • Gather and document requirements through workshops, interviews and document analysis
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories and process documentation
  • Develop business cases, feasibility assessments and root-cause analyses
  • Maintain requirements traceability throughout project lifecycles

Process Improvement and Change Support

  • Map current-state processes and design future-state solutions that improve efficiency, quality and scalability
  • Quantify the expected impact and benefits of process improvement initiatives
  • Support user acceptance testing for new systems, processes and tools
  • Contribute to change documentation, training materials and impact assessments

What We’re Looking For

  • At least five years of experience as a Reports Analyst, including at least two years in a lead capacity
  • Demonstrated business analysis experience in a BPO, shared services or operational environment
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong capability in Power BI, Tableau or an equivalent visualisation tool
  • Proven experience in requirements gathering, process mapping and documentation
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, practical recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics or a related discipline

Nice to Have

  • Business analysis certification such as CBAP, CCBA or equivalent
  • Experience building reporting and analytics capability in a growing operation
  • SQL proficiency or database querying experience
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
  • Understanding of Australian and New Zealand business environments
  • Experience in shared services or managed services

Who This Role Suits

This role suits an analytically rigorous and commercially minded professional who enjoys solving operational problems through data. You will thrive if you can balance technical reporting work with stakeholder engagement, communicate complex findings clearly and turn analysis into practical action.

If you are passionate about reporting, analytics and business improvement, we would like to hear from you.

Apply now and help shape a stronger, data-driven operational environment.
