About the role

Ready to do the most impactful work of your career? At Coinbase, we are uncompromising on our mission to increase economic freedom. The bar is high, the environment is intense, and we like it that way. This isn't a place for complacency, it’s a place to be pushed past your perceived limits. If you're ready to build the future of finance alongside people who refuse to settle for "good enough," you belong here. Coinbase is a remote-first, but not remote-only company. Expect to get together quarterly for intense in-person working sessions called “surges.” Learn more about working at Coinbase.

Coinbase Singapore is building a robust, scalable compliance function in support of our Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) regulatory obligations. As Compliance Manager, you will partner with the Singapore CCO and cross-functional stakeholders across Compliance, Legal, Risk, Product, and Operations to advance our Capital Markets Services (CMS) licensing program and maintain a compliance framework aligned with MAS expectations.

While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, we are not remote-only. In-person participation may be required throughout the year at team and company-wide events to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment.

What You'll Do

  • Support the Singapore CCO in preparing, coordinating, and maintaining materials required for new license applications, including supporting documents, governance materials, regulatory submissions, trackers and responses to follow-up queries.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating Singapore-specific compliance policies, procedures, job aids, controls descriptions, and governance documentation to support local regulatory requirements and licensing commitments Support the enhancement and ongoing maintenance of Coinbase Singapore’s AML/CFT, sanctions and broader regulatory compliance framework in line with applicable MAS rules, notices, guidelines, and internal standards.
  • Prepare clear, well-structured written materials for senior management, Board, auditors, and regulators, including governance decks, issue summaries, risk assessments, gap analyses, remediation updates, and regulatory briefing papers.
  • Track regulatory commitments, licensing conditions, control enhancements, and remediation actions arising from internal reviews, external reviews, audits, or regulatory feedback. Coinbase Singapore’s compliance function is responsible for tracking and taking corrective action to remediate findings.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of management information, governance reporting, and status reporting across the Singapore compliance program, drawing on the broader Coinbase Compliance Manager model for reporting, metrics, and issue tracking.
  • Support regulatory engagements, inspections, and information requests by organizing documentation, validating evidence, and helping prepare concise, accurate responses.
  • Contribute to compliance training and awareness efforts for relevant stakeholders. Coinbase Singapore’s AML/CFT framework requires training materials and attendance records to be maintained and risk-based training to be delivered where required.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in regulatory compliance and financial crime compliance with a MAS regulated Singapore entity.
  • Direct experience supporting regulatory license applications, major regulatory change programs, regulatory remediation or supervisory engagements in Singapore.
  • Strong working knowledge of MAS Securities and Future Act and corresponding rules and regulations, notices and circulars
  • Experience drafting and reviewing policies, procedures, regulatory submissions, governance papers and other formal compliance documentation.
  • Strong program management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, stakeholders and competing deadlines with minimal oversight.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex regulatory or operational issues into clear written analysis and actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally across Compliance, Legal, Product, Operations, Risk, and business teams.
  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in law, finance, business or another relevant field.
  • Proficient in AI tools usage and able to automate work deliverables wherever possible
  • Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA, CRCM, CFA or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a global organization with matrixed stakeholders and shared service models.
  • Familiar with digital assets, blockchain technology and the role of compliant innovation in expanding economic freedom.
