About the role

About the role

Join the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital as a Registrar or Senior Registrar (Advanced Trainee) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and gain exceptional experience within one of Queensland's leading tertiary women's health services. This advanced training opportunity is ideally suited to trainees pursuing a career as a Generalist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, offering exposure across a broad range of obstetric and gynaecological services while supporting progression through key RANZCOG Advanced Training Modules.

You will work closely with experienced consultants and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care while developing advanced clinical skills in obstetrics and gynaecology. The role also offers opportunities to broaden your expertise through exposure to fertility, colposcopy, maternal fetal medicine, urogynaecology, paediatric and adolescent gynaecology, termination of pregnancy and academic services, along with protected research, education and teaching time to support your transition to fellowship.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide high-quality obstetric and gynaecological care to patients within a tertiary hospital environment, commensurate with your level of training and expertise.
  • Participate in advanced training opportunities aligned with RANZCOG requirements, including Generalist Obstetrics and Generalist Gynaecology pathways.
  • Contribute to clinical leadership, service improvement and quality assurance activities that enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Support and mentor junior medical officers through teaching, supervision and participation in postgraduate medical education programs.
  • Work collaboratively with consultants, nursing, midwifery, allied health and medical colleagues to deliver safe, effective and patient-centred care.

Benefits when working for us

  • Rewarding career and development opportunities across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical areas
  • Value driven organisation which provides a work environment that is safe, satisfying, flexible, and promotes a healthy work-life balance
  • Flexible working arrangements and competitive salary rates with annual incremental increases
  • Benefit from a higher than standard employer contribution to Superannuation of up to 12.75% and access to salary packaging

Metro North Health offers a dynamic and progressive environment at the forefront of healthcare, research, and education. With a strong commitment to inclusion, flexibility, and professional development, we provide meaningful opportunities in a workplace that puts people first.
