The ideal candidate is shift-flexible, highly organized, and possesses strong technical inspection knowledge along with leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Prepare inspection reports and communicate findings to engineering and production teams to support timely resolution.

Compliance & Quality Standards

  • Recommend process improvements that enhance product quality, efficiency, and consistency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with engineering, production, and suppliers to address quality issues and support the successful delivery of autonomous surface vessels.

Leadership

  • Lead and coordinate inspection activities across shifts while setting the standard for quality performance and accountability.
  • Ensure alignment with company standards, production goals, and quality expectations.

Training & Development

  • Assist with onboarding and training new Quality Inspectors on inspection techniques, documentation processes, and quality standards.
  • Provide ongoing mentorship and guidance to support team development.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in aerospace, defense, maritime, or advanced manufacturing environments.
  • 1+ years of experience leading or mentoring technical staff.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles, inspection methodologies, and root cause analysis.
  • Proficiency with inspection tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements, including DoD quality expectations.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

Physical Demands

  • Occasional standing and walking within the office
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
