About the role

About the role

As the Inpatient Psychologist - Senior, you will provide high-level, evidence-based clinical psychology assessment, intervention and evaluation services to support optimal outcomes for inpatients at Caboolture Hospital. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will manage a complex caseload, apply advanced clinical judgement, and contribute to delivering contemporary, patient-centred psychological care across the inpatient setting.

In this senior role, you will also play a key part in developing clinical practices, providing supervision and mentorship to less experienced psychologists and postgraduate students, and supporting quality improvement and research initiatives. Your expertise will help strengthen psychology services while contributing to the ongoing enhancement of patient care and service delivery.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Deliver high-level clinical psychology assessments and interventions for patients with complex psychological and health-related needs within an inpatient environment.
  • Provide expert clinical advice and consultation to multidisciplinary teams, managers and stakeholders on psychological practice and patient care.
  • Support and supervise less experienced psychologists and postgraduate students to maintain high professional and clinical standards.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical protocols, evidence-based practices, service evaluation activities and psychology-led quality improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate professional development and education activities that enhance psychological knowledge and capability across teams and services.

Benefits when working for us

  • Rewarding career and development opportunities across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical areas
  • Value driven organisation which provides a work environment that is safe, satisfying, flexible, and promotes a healthy work-life balance
  • Flexible working arrangements and competitive salary rates with annual incremental increases
  • Benefit from a higher than standard employer contribution to Superannuation of up to 12.75% and access to salary packaging

Metro North Health offers a dynamic and progressive environment at the forefront of healthcare, research, and education. With a strong commitment to inclusion, flexibility, and professional development, we provide meaningful opportunities in a workplace that puts people first.
