About the role

About the role

As a Psychologist within the Clinical and Health Psychology Service (CHPS) at The Prince Charles Hospital, you will deliver entry-level psychology services across a broad range of inpatient and outpatient clinical areas. Working within a supportive multidisciplinary environment, you will provide evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention services that contribute to improved patient outcomes and holistic care.

You will work under the supervision of experienced psychologists while developing your clinical expertise, participating in service improvement activities, and contributing to multidisciplinary case management. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in clinical psychology practice within a large tertiary healthcare setting.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Deliver psychology assessment and intervention services in accordance with professional, ethical and organisational standards across inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary case management and work collaboratively with healthcare teams to support high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in the development of clinical practices, procedures and service improvement initiatives within the Psychology Department.
  • Manage a clinical caseload effectively, ensuring accurate documentation, prioritisation of responsibilities and timely delivery of services.
  • Provide support, education and guidance to students, interns and multidisciplinary team members while continuing to develop clinical knowledge and expertise.

Benefits when working for us

  • Rewarding career and development opportunities across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical areas
  • Value driven organisation which provides a work environment that is safe, satisfying, flexible, and promotes a healthy work-life balance
  • Flexible working arrangements and competitive salary rates with annual incremental increases
  • Benefit from a higher than standard employer contribution to Superannuation of up to 12.75% and access to salary packaging

Metro North Health offers a dynamic and progressive environment at the forefront of healthcare, research, and education. With a strong commitment to inclusion, flexibility, and professional development, we provide meaningful opportunities in a workplace that puts people first.
