About the role

Join a team that contributes to delivering better housing outcomes for Queenslanders.

As a Project Support Officer within Portfolio Management and Performance, you will provide high-level executive and administrative support that helps enable the successful delivery of social housing initiatives across Queensland. Working closely with the Executive Director and broader team, you will play an important role in keeping priorities on track, supporting informed decision-making and ensuring the smooth coordination of key business activities.

The Social Housing Delivery Office works in partnership across government, industry and the community to support the delivery of safe, secure, affordable and appropriate housing, while helping build vibrant and connected communities. Your contribution will help ensure leaders and teams have the information, coordination and support they need to achieve these outcomes.

In this role, no two days will look the same. You will coordinate executive correspondence, manage competing deadlines, support briefing and reporting processes and help maintain efficient systems and workflows. You will be trusted to identify priorities, anticipate issues, and provide practical solutions that support the effective operation of the team.

A key aspect of the role involves reviewing and coordinating correspondence, submissions and briefing materials for senior executives and government stakeholders. Your attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders will help ensure information is accurate, timely and aligned with organisational requirements.

This position offers the opportunity to develop valuable skills in executive support, stakeholder engagement, governance and business operations while working in a dynamic and purpose-driven environment. You will gain exposure to a broad range of strategic projects and initiatives, providing a unique insight into how major housing programs are delivered and managed.

You will join a collaborative team that values professionalism, initiative and continuous improvement. The role is well suited to someone who enjoys building relationships, coordinating complex work, maintaining high standards and finding ways to improve business processes and service delivery outcomes.

Beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, this role offers the chance to contribute to work that has a genuine impact on Queensland communities. Every piece of correspondence coordinated, every deadline managed and every process improved helps support programs that provide housing assistance and strengthen communities across the state.

If you are organised, proactive and motivated by meaningful work, this role provides an opportunity to broaden your experience while supporting the delivery of important housing outcomes for Queenslanders.

Applications to remain current for 12 months.
