The Opportunity

The Project Coordinator supports Forbes Bros. Timberline construction operations by coordinating field activities, maintaining accurate project documentation, and supporting quality control and project reporting. You will work closely with construction crews, site leadership, and project management teams to track progress, coordinate technical information, resolve project challenges, and ensure field teams have the resources and documentation needed for successful construction execution.

This opportunity is well-suited for an experienced construction coordinator who enjoys working directly with field teams and taking ownership of project coordination responsibilities. You will support major infrastructure construction activities in Nebraska, with future project assignments in Georgia, while continuing to develop your experience in construction execution, project controls, and quality management.

Key Elements of the Role

  • Manage requests for information (RFIs), submittals, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and material approvals, maintaining accurate tracking systems and following outstanding items through resolution.
  • Coordinate construction documentation, drawing revisions, design updates, and technical information to ensure field crews and site leadership have accurate and current information to support project execution.
  • Participate in field coordination meetings, client discussions, and site walkdowns, facilitating communication and issue resolution between construction teams, project management, and key stakeholders.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality binders, field forms, and inspection records, identifying deficiencies and escalating deviations from project specifications.
  • Monitor installed quantities, construction progress, material usage, procurement schedules, and deliveries to support construction planning, resource coordination, and project reporting.
  • Document scope changes and maintain accurate field records to support project cost tracking, schedule updates, forecasting, and change management activities.
  • Maintain field-level risk assessments, permits, and audit documentation while participating in toolbox talks, hazard assessments, and safety improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate documentation handoffs between project teams, support construction closeout requirements, and provide guidance to less experienced coordinators on document management, quality processes, and field reporting.

What You’ll Bring

  • A diploma or degree in Construction, Engineering Technology, or a related operational discipline.
  • Three to five years of project coordination or site-based support experience within utility, infrastructure, or industrial construction environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing construction documentation, requests for information (RFIs), submittals, quality records, and field reporting processes.
  • Strong understanding of construction document control workflows, quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) requirements, and project coordination practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using construction management platforms such as Procore, Viewpoint, SharePoint, or SAP.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with construction crews, clients, project managers, and office personnel.
  • Ability to independently manage project coordination responsibilities, prioritize competing deadlines, and maintain accurate project records and documentation.
  • A valid Class D driver's license and the ability to meet company driver qualification requirements.
