About the role

Zeeco fosters a robust work environment where employees, from engineering teams to support groups, benefit from a strong culture, trained leadership, and opportunities for growth. Zeeco collaborates with the biggest names in the industry, enabling individuals to broaden their skills alongside teams of subject matter experts.

Who we’re looking for

Are you looking for a new, exciting opportunity in Accounting? Zeeco could be a great fit! As a Zeeco Project Accountant, you’ll have a solid foundation in accounting (that’s a must!), but you’ll also be motivated by process improvement, thinking outside of the box, and trying new things. You’ll come with a fresh perspective and new ideas. You’re someone who can create invoices one day and improve org health the next. You’re flexible and adaptable, since wearing multiple hats is part of our culture.

About our team

We are passionate about growing personally and professionally. We believe that org health is just as important as debits and credits. We have a lot of responsibility and work hard. However, this isn’t public accounting. We typically don’t work more than 45 hours even during close. We don’t wear pocket protectors, we’re fun accountants. We like to spend time with each other outside of work (think team dinners, skeet shooting, baseball games, tailgates, etc.). If Zeeco sounds like a good fit, we’d love to hear from you!

What you’ll be doing

  • Invoicing for several key Product Groups
  • Analyze project documentation and prepare invoices based on contract requirements
  • Work with Project Engineering Teams on job specific invoicing requirements
  • Invoice milestones accurately and timely
  • Upload invoices to customer or 3rd party portals
  • Think critically and recommend process improvements and time-saving efficiencies
  • Actively participate in process improvement efforts
  • Complete monthly Job Cost Report analysis and reconciliation in coordination with the Project Manager for timely financial reporting
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up with customers on past due invoices
  • Ensure monthly closing deadlines are complete and assist with annual audit
  • Project close-out at end of projects

To be a good fit you’ll have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (or similar), or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in preparing, processing, and analyzing financial information
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting functions
  • Ability to prepare and oversee the preparation of milestone-based invoices
  • Strong analytical skill set with confidence to defend a position with logical reasoning
  • Ability to state clear, concise, and compelling reasons in an upbeat manner
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to change
  • Detailed oriented with a focus on accuracy
  • A high sense of urgency, strong initiative, and the ability to multi-task while working under tight deadlines

Working at Zeeco means being part of a people-centric culture and environment built on mutual respect, personal encouragement, professional integrity, and limitless opportunity. Join Zeeco and embark on a fulfilling journey where innovation, collaboration, and personal and professional growth converge.
