About Vega

Vega is transforming the way private markets operate. Alternative asset management is one of the most influential forces in the global economy, with over $20TN in assets today. Over the next five years, the industry is set to grow 3x, but GPs are facing challenges around their ability to handle the investment flows that are coming in. GPs have been completely underserved by innovation, particularly on the investor relations side.

Vega built the industry’s first AI-native operating system, where all client work gets done - from the start of an investor’s journey to its end. We are rethinking how work gets done in private markets from first principles: the opportunity is big, but it’s also niche, high-stakes, and difficult to get right.

Who we are

We are still at the beginning of our journey. Vega was founded by former investors at Elliott and KKR, and built by talent from the world’s leading technology and financial services firms - including Trade Republic, Revolut, Goldman Sachs, BCG, and more. We have raised $30M so far, with the backing of Apollo, Motive Partners, and 60+ senior executives from the industry. Today, we have over $300B AUM and 30,000 users on the platform, and we have much more left to do.

How we do it

Vega is a fast-growing startup. We want to make this a career-accelerating place for people with the ambition to build something big. If the below sounds appealing, it could be for you:

  1. We do not seek consensus. You will be expected to voice opinions and take initiative. Vega's best people do not wait to be told what to do before finding solutions to problems they have spotted.
  2. We believe bureaucracy is the killer of progress. We are focused on creating the minimum viable process to operate with quality at speed.
  3. We prioritise talent over tenure. There is no promise of progression without performance – we assess and reward people on impact above all else.
  4. We iterate fast. We make decisions amid ambiguity and with imperfect information, and we strive to balance committing to a hypothesis with iterating at low ego.
  5. We play to win. Expectations, intensity and ambition are very high, with every single colleague contributing to Vega's success. This often will not be a 9-5.

We know that this culture won’t be for everyone, and we endeavour to make this clear from the beginning of the recruiting process out of respect for your time. Ask yourself whether the above sounds exciting to you in practice every day, and if it does, we would love to hear from you.

In this role, you will

  • Set up new funds - Read the subscription agreement, fund terms and side letters, close open points with the GP and their counsel, and configure the fund on the platform, questionnaire to review workflow, so it’s ready for investors from day one. Turn anything the documents need that we don’t yet support into clear requirements for product and engineering.
  • Own quality - Be the human in the loop on digitised subscription documents, questionnaires and side letters so they’re client-ready, and test subscription flows end to end before they go live: reproduce issues and make sure what reaches investors works as it should.
  • Keep delivery running and continuously improve scalability - Work with Product and Engineering to keep subscription delivery smooth across funds and clients, and document and refine how we take a fund from documents to live flow so it gets faster every time.
  • Build AI-enabled workflows - Help build and refine the AI-driven workflows that speed up document digitisation and review on Vega’s platform.

What we look for

  • Have 2–5 years of experience in product operations, legal operations, quality operations or a similar hands-on, client-facing operational role, in high-performance environments with high standards
  • Have high attention to detail and excellent reasoning skills, and hold yourself to a very high bar for execution and quality
  • Are passionate about what you do and like getting your hands dirty
  • Are curious about AI-powered products and operational systems
  • Are comfortable moving quickly and solving ambiguous problems

Why join us?

  • You will help define the transformation of one of the most influential industries of our time with AI, working alongside an ambitious and dedicated team
  • Competitive salary and equity package
  • Benefits including medical insurance, gym membership, learning budget, and more
