About the role

Cato Networks is the converged network and security cloud for the AI era.

As AI reshapes cybersecurity, enterprises face a dual challenge: unlocking AI’s potential while defending against AI-driven attacks. Cato addresses both through a unified, cloud-native platform, providing the visibility and context to prioritize risks and stop threats in real time across users, applications, data, and AI agents.

Join us as we scale: take on ambitious technological challenges and shape the next generation of enterprise security at a company trusted by thousands of organizations worldwide.

About the Role

Hey - are you an experienced product designer looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity?

Are you passionate about designing a product to produce an amazing user experience? Do you love owning the end-to-end design process from UX research to shipped, production-ready UI?

The Design team at Cato Networks is looking for an exceptional product designer who's looking to jump on a rocket ship and take a core role in defining and driving the future of our products!

You Are

  • A creative individual, a great storyteller, and an expert in your craft.
  • Passionate about technology, and how people experience it.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, learn easily and adapt quickly.
  • An active listener who asks "Why" a lot.
  • A self-starter with a builder mindset, willing to expand responsibility and try new tools and workflows.
  • Team collaborator who is comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-evolving startup environment.
  • A problem solver, able to think holistically and at the same time have sharp eye for details.
  • Naturally curious and likes pushing boundaries for what is possible.
  • Experienced at balancing long-term design goals with an Agile-based iterative approach.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and work closely with Developers, PMs, other product designers and upper management.
  • Design hands-on complex UI and flows, while able to explain your design decisions and communicate clearly to build consensus around all aspects of the design direction.
  • Build your designs, and ship real polished UI to production.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and other UX methodologies to discover insights, define user personas, and map user journeys.
  • Iterate through design feedback from internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Understand the array of technical constraints and business requirements.
  • Identify opportunities and pitch ideas to improve our Design system.

Skills & Background

  • 7+ years’ experience as a Product (UX/UI) designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role.
  • Experience working on complex products and systems.
  • Comfortable working with AI and building in code.
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools.
  • Good sense for visual aesthetics and strong visual and interaction craft, especially in data-dense interfaces.
  • Background in user research and data research.
  • Plus - Experience with cyber security or network products

Strong portfolio is critical to interview for this role.

It should demonstrate your work experience, creative thinking, visual design skills, design process, UX flows and interaction patterns.
