About the role

Meet render.ai, monday.com's new AI venture. At render.ai, we're redefining how humans use AI for work. render.ai enables anyone to bring ideas to life in minutes, using their words. We're a small, autonomous team - closer in spirit to an early-stage startup than to an established company. There's no fixed playbook: we're still figuring out what the product looks like, and every engineer helps shape that, not just build it.

About the role: Define and drive the design vision for a product built from the ground up. You’ll own the design end-to-end, from discovery and strategy to polished, shipped experiences, working closely with engineering and leadership, and using AI tools and rapid prototyping to move fast.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and mentor the design team
  • Set the design vision and principles
  • Drive ambiguous problems from exploration through launch
  • Design AI-native workflows that make creating visual content effortless
  • Raise the bar on visual and interaction craft
  • Influence product strategy and roadmap
  • Build design systems, components, and templates that scale
  • Use AI tools and coding agents to prototype and accelerate execution
  • Validate ideas through research and customer feedback

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product design experience shipping high-quality products
  • Track record of driving design direction, ideally on 0-to-1 products
  • Exceptional visual and interaction design, with a strong portfolio
  • Strong product sense and strategic thinking
  • High AI fluency
  • Experience building and scaling design systems
  • Systems thinking and the ability to influence through collaboration with engineering
  • Builder mentality, comfort with ambiguity, balance of speed and quality
  • Excellent communication, low ego, team-first
  • High proficiency in Figma and prototyping
  • High-level English

Nice to have: Experience with AI-native or creative tools, B2B SaaS, startups or autonomous teams, and shipping with coding agents.
