Job Summary

Traysar is looking for our first U.S. Procurement & Logistics Specialist to own purchasing and logistics for our Austin facility. Our procurement process is already in place, led by our procurement team in Israel, so you'll plug into it on day one and hit the ground running executing purchases. You'll build Traysar's pool of U.S. vendors and suppliers, from sourcing and qualifying to onboarding, quotes, POs, and expediting, and own inbound and outbound logistics and shipping for Austin. You'll also play a key role in Traysar's ERP implementation, helping set up new U.S. procurement and logistics workflows alongside our Israel procurement lead and Finance. This is a hands-on execution role for someone who thrives in fast-paced hardware startups, moves fast, and works closely with engineering, finance, operations, and our Israel procurement lead.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day procurement execution for the U.S., working within Traysar's existing procurement process.
  • Build Traysar's pool of U.S. vendors and suppliers for components, materials, equipment, and services.
  • Source, qualify, and onboard new U.S. vendors and suppliers.
  • Request and compare quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, and issue purchase orders.
  • Expedite orders and track deliveries, lead times, and open POs to keep engineering and production on schedule.
  • Own inbound and outbound logistics and shipping for the Austin facility, including shipping, receiving, and carrier coordination.
  • Partner with engineering to source components, materials, and equipment for development and testing.
  • Coordinate closely with the Israel procurement lead to align on process, systems, and cross-site purchasing and shipments.
  • Take part in Traysar's ERP implementation, helping set up and roll out new U.S. procurement and logistics workflows with the Israel procurement lead and Finance.
  • Track supplier performance, quality, lead times, and costs.
  • Keep purchasing records, vendor data, and inventory information accurate in our procurement systems and ERP.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or logistics experience in hardware, manufacturing, aerospace, robotics, defense, or a similar technical industry.
  • Proven track record executing purchases end-to-end: quotes, POs, expediting, and receiving.
  • Experience sourcing technical components and working directly with engineering teams.
  • Experience finding, qualifying, and onboarding new suppliers.
  • Hands-on experience with domestic shipping and logistics, including carriers, freight, and receiving.
  • Experience negotiating pricing and commercial terms with suppliers.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management and ERP or procurement systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in defense, aerospace, robotics, autonomous systems, industrial equipment.
  • An existing network of U.S. suppliers, machine shops, distributors, or contract manufacturers.
  • Familiarity with import/export logistics, customs, and international shipping.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP implementation or systems such as NetSuite, Odoo, or similar.
  • Experience supporting prototype development and low-volume manufacturing.
  • Experience working with a team or headquarters in another country.
  • Knowledge of supplier quality processes and vendor performance management.
  • Experience working in an early-stage startup or scaling organization.
  • Familiarity with U.S. government contracting or defense procurement requirements.
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or CPIM are a plus.
