In 2027, our Darling Downs campus in Hilbert is a K-12, co-educational Christian school that is blessed with a spacious and modern campus, set in peaceful and semi-rural surroundings. About the role
If you're looking for an exciting opportunity to work as part of a dynamic teaching team in a growing school, then we invite you to consider this position. We are seeking to appoint a Primary Health and Physical Education Teacher. Applicants must have the credentials and experience to teach in Western Australia. This full-time position commences in Term 1 2027.
The successful candidate will hold the following core responsibilities:
- Holistic Student Development: Deliver high-quality education across Kindy to Year 6 that nurtures students academically, socially, and spiritually, aligning with the school's Christian values.
- Community Engagement: Actively and positively engage with parents and the broader community to support student success. This includes working with external sporting associations and facilitating extra curricular sporting activities.
- Professional Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to implement whole-school programs, pedagogy, policies, and curriculum.
The successful candidates will implement a pedagogical framework and foster a learning environment based on the following principles:
- Explicit Approach to Teaching and Learning: Teach knowledge and skills in a clear and structured manner so that all students have the opportunity to grow.
- Positive Tone: Create an appealing, safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Clear Routines: Establish and maintain structures and routines so every student clearly understands expectations, while also having fun!
As lifelong learners, all teachers at ACC should be willing to engage in professional development opportunities, including instructional coaching, to collectively improve practice.
