About the role

RAVL helps technologists accelerate their careers.

At RAVL, we connect strategy with execution, care deeply about the people we work with, and measure success by the lasting impact we leave behind. Our purpose is to build a team that puts real, sustainable business outcomes at the core of everything we do.

We’re here to leave our clients better than we found them, and to create a place where our people are proud to Build. Better.

As a Platform Engineer at RAVL, you’ll design and deliver the platforms, infrastructure, and automation that power modern engineering teams. You’ll bring deep technical skill, curiosity, and pragmatism - building cloud-native environments that enable velocity, security, and reliability at scale. You’ll automate everything possible, codify environments, and make continuous delivery a reality for RAVL and our clients.

What success looks like in this role

  • Design, build, and operate secure, scalable cloud platforms across AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines, automating builds, testing, and deployments for consistency and speed
  • Enable observability and resilience through logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting solutions
  • Collaborate with software, data, and security engineers to define standards and improve developer experience
  • Champion automation-first approaches to configuration management, provisioning, and compliance
  • Demonstrate ownership of environments - anticipating issues, communicating risks, and resolving problems early
  • At higher levels: mentor peers, influence architecture, and set standards for operational excellence and security

Sounds great, but do my skills fit?

  • You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:
  • Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Understanding of networking, identity, and security concepts across cloud environments
  • Comfort operating across automation, scripting, and DevOps tooling (Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Go)
  • Consulting excellence: proactive communication, adaptability, and structured problem solving

Mindset Traits

  • Delivery-first – focuses on making progress visible and impactful
  • Automation-minded – seeks to remove manual effort through repeatable systems
  • Calm in complexity – navigates ambiguity with structure and resilience
  • Collaborative and influential – shares knowledge openly, enabling others to succeed

Technical Skills

  • Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP (at least two preferred)
  • IaC & Automation: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Pulumi
  • Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
  • CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps
  • Scripting & Programming: Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Go
  • Security & Compliance: IAM, RBAC, encryption, secrets management, secure networking

Why join RAVL?

  • Flexible, client-aligned work model - autonomy with accountability, adapting to client delivery needs
  • Variable bonus & RRSP contributions tied to performance and delivery impact
  • 4 weeks paid time off (plus public holidays)
  • Paid professional development days and continuous learning opportunities
  • Comprehensive health & dental coverage, including mental health support
  • Commitment to lifelong learning - continuous improvement through training, mentorship, and certification

Compensation & hiring process
